There are 11 guides in total and they have been created to help employers, employees and the self- employed understand how to work safely during the pandemic. Your business may need to utilise more than one guide. Starts Monday 29 June NBV starting in business- 3 day online programme This online workshop, led by an experienced business trainer, will teach you the nuts and bolts of starting and running a successful business, including risks and managing money. Monday 29 June, 1.00-3.00pm Introduction to finance- essential financial admin Looking at the critical elements of financial admin for small businesses including practical time-saving routines to ensure your finances are in good shape. Covering sales, invoices, debtors, cash and more. Tuesday 30 June, 2.00-3.30pm Implementing Covid-19 measures in the workplace Focusing on how to implement Covid-19 measures safely in the hairdressing industry, join the panel discussion with health and safety experts and a selection of local hair salon owners including Barrie Stephen. Wednesday 1 July, 10.00am-noon Getting started- Microsoft 365 Join this introduction to the Office 365 products covering some of the basics including a look at SharePoint and Teams and information on licences. Various dates Small online support clinics These small clinics are hosted by industry expert Meryl Levington, who will give you hands-on advice about how to reopen your business safely and effectively. Don't miss out on grant funding Leicester City Council's Discretionary Business Grant scheme, which was launched earlier this month, is coming to an end on 29 June. The fund was set up to enable non-repayable grants to be paid to some businesses which are struggling to survive due to covid-19. Each local authority have their own cut-off date; take a look to find out if you are still able to apply. Future Fund is still open for applications The Future Fund is open for applications until September 2020. It was set up to provide loans to innovative UK companies with good potential, that typically rely on equity investment and are currently affected by the impact of Covid-19.
