KBACE performed a deep dive technical transformational session as part of a Cloud Map analysis concentrating on maximizing the efficiency of their technical footprint regarding HCM. With over 800 custom objects within their current legacy infrastructure map, moving to Cloud is being used as an opportunity to transform this architecture. Each custom application was mapped to the equivalent HCM module. Any custom application that does not have an equivalent module/process and are consumers of HR data be re-pointed and automated through middleware. A project implementation timeline was created as part of Cloud Map identifying phase 1 HCM modules: Core HR, benefits, Compensation, Performance Management and Payroll

By performing a technical efficiency test as part of Cloud Map, the number of legacy integrations were decreased by over half prior to the beginning of the project. This allowed Quad to identify an enhanced timeline with a defined internal project team. Decreased project risk by avoiding a simple lift and shift strategy migrating from legacy to Cloud. By running through a Cloud Map session, the amount of throw-away effort was decreased due to having a full understanding of the replacement of current applications against functionality of HCM Cloud
