The surprising answer of Catholic Chrisanity is: ‘Yes, but always through the working of the Holy Spirit of Our Lord Jesus Christ, who can prompt the heart of any person anywhere at any me with divine grace so that that person strives to lead a life of compassion and jusce and not harming innocent creatures.’ Obviously, this work of the Holy Spirit could encompass millions if not billions of people who have never heard the Gospel. If the slogan: ‘No salvaon outside the Church’ is taken to mean no-one can be saved unless he/she is a bapsed member of the Catholic Church then it is a heresy explicitly condemned by Popes. Nevertheless, we must pray and work for the conversion of all people so that they might have the advantage of all the aids of Word and Sacrament which we draw on as direcon and strength on our journey towards the desny which God desires for each one of us. Entrance Into The Kingdom of God

Can the Dalai Lama be saved? ‘[People] from east and west, north and south . . . will feast in the Kingdom of God.’ Amongst those people, will there be Buddhists, Muslims, Hindus, atheists? The surprising answer of Catholic Christianity is: ‘Yes, but always through the working of the Holy Spirit of Our Lord Jesus Christ, who can prompt the heart of any person anywhere at any time with divine grace so that that person strives to lead a life of compassion and justice and not harming innocent creatures.’ Obviously, this work of the Holy Spirit could encompass millions if not billions of people who have never heard the Gospel. If the slogan: ‘No salvation outside the Church’ is taken to mean no-one can be saved unless he/she is a baptised member of the Catholic Church then it is a heresy explicitly condemned by Popes. Nevertheless, we must pray and work for the conversion of all people so that they might have the advantage of all the aids of Word and Sacrament which we draw on as direction and strength on our journey towards the destiny which God desires for each one of us. We could pause for a moment to acknowledge the boundless mercy of God, but also praying that all peoples might share our privilege of participating in that Holy Communion which is the foretaste of the banquet prophesied by Jesus in today’s Gospel. © Fr Michael Tate, Liturgy Help

ISSUES WITH THE NEW SET OF PLANNED

your set of envelopes do not

This is a manufacturing

experiencing the same problem. We have

already contacted the supplier about the issue.

May we request that you secure your envelope

by either putting sticky tape or glue to ensure

your donation is intact, particularly for the 2nd

collection. Please also write down the amount

just in case the money gets mixed. Please make

contact with me if there are any issues.

Thank you for your understanding, Todd.

WORLD DAY OF MIGRANTS AND REFUGEES

This Sunday is the 105th World Day of Migrants

and Refugees. The theme this year is “It is not

just about migrants.” Pope Francis and the

Australian Catholic Bishops Conference have

released statements focussed on this theme.

Copies of these and other useful resources are

available at www.acmro.catholic.org.au.

We ask that you keep all migrants, refugees and

all who minister and work to support them in your

prayers, especially this weekend as we join with

parishes in every part of the world in praying for

them.

Happy 60th Wedding Anniversary

We congratulate and pray for

Darby and Betty McKiernan

who are celebrating their

Diamond Anniversary of Marriage

this month.

Thank you for all you continue to do in our parish

family, and your wonderful witness. May the years
