The solo debut WALL by Felix Räuber represents the former Polarkreis 18 frontman Felix Räuber opening himself up. This is where the singer, composer and producer reveals his personal conflict song by song, in the style of ‚Cinematic Pop‘. The result is five self-contained pieces that depict a delicately sensitive introspection - an artistic liberation for Räuber, combining his touching voice, melancholic strings and electronic crescendos.

Felix Räuber withdrew himself for a long time and carefully sculpted the debut EP in his bedroom, taking elements of neoclassical, electronic and pop and crafted arrangements in his own idiosyncratic style. Somewhere between Moderat, Woodkid and Sigur Rós. A sound that is influenced by artists like Nils Frahm, Scott Matthew, star violinist Daniel Hope and pianist Clemens Christian Pötzsch, with whom he has collaborated with on the EP

With the WALL EP, Räuber creates a vast encompassing landscape, only liberated by his touching poignant voice, unveiling his inner turmoil.

Since childhood, Felix Räuber (* 1984) has been obsessed with all forms of making music and the communication of emotions. At age 13, he founded his first band in his basement that developed into the indie-pop band „Polarkreis 18“. The first studio album (2007) introduced the band presented by frontman and singer Räuber, performed throughout Europe. The second studio album achieved gold status, and the first single release „Allein Allein“ became one of the most successful German-language songs of all time (platinum status) and a global hit. The band decided to take a break, which continues today. Räuber moved to Berlin (2012) to realign himself as an artist. He began to work as an actor and lecturer, set up his own studio and produced albums and EP‘s. In 2014, Räuber work began on a new pop project called „Zwei von Millionen,“ which was released by Universal Music in 2017. Inspired by his travels to the Middle East, Räuber has worked tirelessly on his own over the last year to create his own genre-spanning compositions that push his artistic limits. The release of his debut EP „WALL“ represents, as he says himself, „a musical liberation“ for Räuber.
