40 Litre Electric Cool BoxITEM CODE-237466 This unit has two power options:

1. 12v cigarette lighter power cord for use in a car.

2. 230v three pin mains plug for use in the home.

Simply plug into the car socket or mains supply. The unit is suitable for keeping foodstuff cool.

Convenient cable compartment in lid for storage of both power cords.

Two sturdy wheels and multi-functional pull-out handle for easy movement. Fits Fits three 2-litre bottles standing.TO OPERATE

1. The cooling performance is similar to that of a household fridge (NOT a freezer).2. If the unit is operated continuously, it will lower the temperature inside to about 16C below that of the surrounding air.3. The best performance will be obtained if the unit is loaded with food and drinks that are already cold.4. For best cold retention after disconnection, keep the lid tightly closed.ADVICE

1. DO NOT block the air flow. The unit must have a clear flow of air to remove excess heat in order to work effectively.

For best results:

Dont operate in a confined space such as a car boot.

Dont leave the unit in a sealed car or boot whilst in use.2. Shade the unit from direct sunlight and leave windows slightly open to allow for air circulation.

3.The unit is designed for operation in vehicles with a negative earth. If your vehicle has a positive earth terminal, a competent electrician must rewire the cigarette lighter end of the adaptor.4. Ice-cream should not be refrozen after storage in the unit.5.Performance will be impaired by the addition of any substantial amount of items at room temperature.6.When not in use the unit must be stored open to prevent mould growth.7. NEVER fill the unit with water. DO NOT immerse the unit in water.

8. Always disconnect the unit from electricity for cleaning. Wipe clean using a mild detergent solution.9. Disconnect the unit while the vehicle motor stop working otherwise the power in the cell might be off.TROUBLESHOOTING

If the unit does not appear to function correctly, unplug the unit and check the following:

FaultPossible causeSuggested remedy

Your cooler does not function (DC plug is inserted, LED on the plug does not glow).

There is no voltage flowing

from the 12V socket

(cigarette lighter) in your vehicle.

The ignition must be switched on in most vehicles for voltage to flow at the cigarette lighter.

Your cooler does not function (AC plug is inserted).

No voltage present in the AC voltage socket.

Try using another plug socket.

Your cooler does not cool

(plug is inserted, LED on the DC plug glows).

The inner fan or the cooling

element is defective.

This can only be repaired by an authorized customer services unit.

The ignition is on and the cooler is not working or keeps switching off

(DC Plug is inserted, LED on the plug is not glowing or not glowing continuously)

The cigarette lighter socket is dirty. This results in a poor electrical contact.

If the plug of your cooler becomes very warm in the 12V cigarette lighter socket, either the socket is not clean or the plug has not been inserted correctly into the socket.Remove dirt from the plug and/ or socket using a non metallic tool.

The plug has not been inserted properly into the socket, poor electrical contact.

Extract plug gently from the socket and reinsert firmly.

Repeat the operation until the proper position is found, the plug is aligned firmly into the socket.

The fuse of the 12V plug has blown.

Replace the fuse (8A) in the 12V plug.(unscrew the tip)

The vehicle fuse has blown.Replace the vehicle's 12V socket fuse (usually 15A).

Please refer to the operating

manual of your vehicle.

There is water inside the cooler

Moisture in the air, trapped inside the cooler, is condensed by the low temperature. This is not a product fault, the inner of the cooler is not ventilated. Dry the condense water periodically.

There is ice formation near the inner ventilator

Moisture in the air, trapped inside the cooler, is condensed to water and freezes in contact with the ventilator. Ice formation can block the ventilator and damage the unit.

This is not a product fault.

Switch the unit off and let the

ice melt, remove gently, check the unit periodically if it is used continuously.
