• The expression before なら = topic of the rest of the sentence
なら Conditional (speaker’s supposition):〜(の)なら〜

later.”しつもんなら、後でけんきゅうしつに来て下さい。
A: セーターをあみたいんです。B: “For knitting a sweater, you should talk to
Mary. She said she likes knitting sweater.”セーターをあむ(の)なら、メアリーさんと話した⽅がいいよ。メアリーさん、セーターをあむのが好きだと⾔っていたから。
