• Identify the role of dedicated stroke centers in the treatment of the acute cerebrovascular event.
• Discuss the integration of carotid stenting into the current endovascular treatment of carotid
disease.
• Charactize the new carotid stenting treatment technique.
• Assess the expected outcomes of surgical management of carotid disease.
