Venue

Melbourne is the capital and most crowded city of the Australian condition of Victoria, and the second-most crowded city in Australia and Oceania. The name “Melbourne” alludes to a urban agglomeration traversing 9,900 km2 (3,800 sq. mi), which involves the more extensive metropolitan region, and in addition being the normal name for its downtown area. The city is situated on the extensive regular narrows of Port Phillip and ventures into the hinterlands towards the Dandenong and Macedon mountain ranges, Mornington Peninsula and Yarra Valley. Its tenants are called Melbournians. Established by free pilgrims from the British Crown state of Van Diemen’s Land on 30 August 1835, in what was then the province of New South Wales, it was consolidated as a Crown settlement in 1837.It was named “Melbourne” by the Governor of New South Wales, Sir Richard Bourke, out of appreciation for the British Prime Minister of the day, William Lamb, second Viscount Melbourne.

It is perceived as an UNESCO City of Literature and a noteworthy community for road workmanship, music and theater. It is home to a considerable lot of Australia’s biggest and most established social organizations, for example, the Melbourne Cricket Ground, the National Gallery of Victoria, the State Library of Victoria and the UNESCO World Heritage-recorded Royal Exhibition Building. It was the host city of the 1956 Summer Olympics and the 2006 Commonwealth Games.
