WITNESS Kelly J. Stone HYMN “For Such a Time as This…” Hyfrydol

Come O Spirit, dwell among us, come with Pentecostal power; Give the church a stronger vision, help us face each crucial hour. Built upon a firm foundation, Jesus Christ the cornerstone, Still the church is called to mission that God’s love shall be made known. We would raise our alleluias for the grace of former years; For tomorrow’s unknown pathways, hear O God, our humble prayers. In the church’s pilgrim journey you have led us all the way, Still in presence move before us, fire by night and cloud by day. Sovereign God, of earth and heaven, in an age of change and doubt Keep us faithful to the gospel, help us work your purpose out. Here, in this day’s dedication, all we have to give, receive; We, who cannot live without you, we adore you! We believe!

Students may now leave for classes. SCRIPTURE Matthew 5:1-10 (Page 785, pew Bible) SERMON “Placeholder” John Allen MUSICAL MEDITATION PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE David Leeds, Deacon

OUR LORD’S PRAYER Our Father, who art in heaven,

hallowed be thy Name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

PRAYER RESPONSE “Be Now My Vision”
