Silent Night - Holy Night Adult Child Price From 65 32 Duration: approx. 4 hours The Christmas carol “Silent Night, Holy Night!” was heard for the first time on Christmas Eve in 1818 in the St. Nikolaus parish church. Following the damaging floods of the 1890’s, St. Nikolaus’ church was demolished and the Silent Night Memorial Chapel was built on the site and consecrated on August 15, 1937. Every year on 24th December at 5 p.m., a memorial service in honour of the creators of the Silent Night carol takes place in front of the Silent Night Memorial Chapel.
