UPCOMING EVENTS RENEW CONFERENCE 2016–From Sunday, April 24, until Wednesday, April 27, join us for Oaklawn’s Renew Conference. Each evening will bring a time of worship, fellowship, and a challenging message from guest speaker Eric Capaci. CANNED VEGETABLES FOR FOOD PANTRY–Our next food pantry date is April 21, from 10:00am-12:00pm. Donations of food can be made at our display in the lobby. We really need canned vegetables right now, as well as canned meats. You can also sign up to help out that morning. OPERATION INASMUCH IS COMING–Our next Operation Inasmuch will be on Saturday, May 21. Information and sign-up sheets will be at the welcome center. Please plan to help out that day, and pray about where God wishes you to serve. ICU CARE PACKAGES–One of our Operation Inasmuch events is care packages for hospital ICU waiting rooms. We need donations of the following Items:

YOUTH YARD SALE COLLECTION–On Saturday, May 7, we will be holding our annual youth fundraising yard sale. Each Sunday, we will have a trailer in front of the sanctuary to collect donations. If you have a larger item that needs to be picked up, please call Zac Martin at 336.462.1330. WOMEN’S MISSION TRIP–The NC Baptist Women will hold a mission trip to New York City from September 15-18. Cost is $550.00. Please see Bill Greenwood by May 4 to sign up. ARMENIA MISSION FUND RAISING MEAL–Jennifer and Dylan West will be having a fund raising meal for their mission trip on Saturday, May 21, at 6:30pm. They will be serving smoked pork chops, baked beans, potato salad, and assorted desserts. Please RSVP at [email protected] or call 336.403.6567. NEW COLLEGE AND CAREER MINISTRY–Beginning Sunday, May 1, Oaklawn will begin a new ministry for high school graduates, college students, and young adults beginning careers. 3/30 Joan Richardson is having to adjust her seizure medication; pray for good results.

4/6 Jim and Brandy Davis (Clyde Davis’s brother, and sister-in-law) are facing health issues. Please pray for healing.

4/8 Renae Williford had surgery on April 15. Please pray for a fast recovery.

4/13 Johnathan Cooper (son of a friend of Luanne Lentz) was diagnosed with heart problems. He will have more tests next week.

4/13 Grady Smith is in Forsyth Hospital, room 7436. 4/13 Tony Brown will have surgery on April 14. Please be in prayer for

him. 4/16 Perry Reid had surgery and is recovering. Please pray for a quick

recovery. 4/16 Jake Aton had a procedure and is recovering. Please pray for a fast

and smooth healing process. 4/16 Linda Smith is recovering after a procedure. Please pray for

continued healing. 4/16 Betty Haney has returned home from the hospital. She still needs a

heart transplant. Pray for a successful operation.

LONG TERM 2/24 Donavan Whitehead (friend of Luanne Lentz) has been found to

have four brain tumors. He has been given a permanent tracheotomy, and has been moved to a long-term skilled facility.

3/2 Jordan Place (friend of Luanne Lentz) is leaving work to hike the Appalachian Trail. Please pray for safety.

PRAYER LIST PICK-UP BASKETBALL–We have begun offering some pick-up games on Sunday afternoons, from 2:30pm-4:00pm. Everyone is welcome to join us for some fellowship, exercise, and a great time!

NEIGHBORHOOD PRAYER MEETING–This Saturday, April 9, we will be offering free coffee and prayer time with our neighbors. Meetings are on the second Saturday of each month, from 7:30am-10:30am.

NEW COLLEGE AND CAREER MINISTRY–Beginning Sunday, May 1, Oaklawn will begin a new ministry for high school graduates, college students, and young adults beginning careers. We will meet at 5:00pm on Sundays to sharpen and challenge each other, while focusing on in depth Bible study, evangelism, and service opportunities.
