Hello Wonderful Families,

A busy and hot week here in room 128! Check out some of the things we did below.

Reading Workshop:-Just Right Books looking at purpose, interest, understanding, and reading the words including the 5-finger Rule.-Book Bags and Word Rings: These will start to come home on Monday! I will send a separate e-mail on Monday with details.-3 ways to read a book (read the pictures, read the words, retell the story)-Lulu and the Mysterious Mission

Writing Workshop/Word Study:-Creating a story from pictures-Continued with short vowels and phonemes-Class high frequency word rings

Math Workshop:-How do mathematicians approach a problem?-Working through 2 rich tasks-Opener- Which one doesn’t belong?

Content : -Constitution Day-Citizenship: Responsible and Respectful behavior around school
