WISDOM GROUPS: Matthew 16: 13-19 and Acts 12:1-11:

“Who do you say that I am?”

1. How do you introduce yourself to a group? And if you had to

write an introductory paragraph about yourself what might it say? Would this

differ from what a friend or family member might say about you?....and why?

2. Look at Simon Peter’s answer to “who do you say that I am?” What strikes you

about his answer?

3. How would you answer the question if Jesus asked you that same question? Have

a go perhaps of writing your response down? You might want to share these andtalk about the responses.

4. What was Jesus’ response to Peter when he heard his answer? And how do you

think that the response affected Peter’s life from that moment? You might want

to read the Acts reading.

5. What name change or commission has happened in your life? Making promises

in marriage etc?

6. What would be your response if you believed that God was asking

something special of you?

SUMMER HOLIDAY: UPDATE … thanks for all your financial support

It has been so good to work alongside Amanda and Alex this week as preparations

for holiday clubs get underway.

1. Holiday booking forms have been sent to Church schools and replies are com-

ing in and being collated. Next week forms go to Mousehole and then Pen-

sans and Newlyn before casting the net wider.

2. Staff application forms are now on the Penlee cluster website. So if you

know anyone who is interested in a paid post do let them know.

3. New water bottles and lunch boxes are being purchased so that we don’t use

single-use plastics. Activity bags are in process of being made.

4. Sport and craft activities are now being coordinated and arranged.

WORSHIP LEADER TRAINING

17 very happy and excited people met to engage in the worship leader training this week. It was good to have a light supper together and enjoy each other’s company in a Covid secure way.

We spent time thinking about how we create or “curate” worship for Cluster on line worship which goes on each Sunday morning…..and how parts of this “on line worship” are used and incorporated into worship on a Sunday and weekdays.

People had a first go at helping to plan worship for the next few weeks and will be involved in both recording worship for e-church and leading parts of theworship in the different settings.

We meet next time on Tuesday 13th July: 7pm-9pm@ St Mary church PZ If you are interested in learning more about helping to lead worship do get in touch with Andrew Yates We will experience Café style worship.

The Penlee Cluster welcomes a new intern in September!

It’s great news that our about to be intern Hilary, has now received her visa to join us for a year here in The Penlee Clus-ter. Hilary is from Kuala Lumpa, Malaysia, and she has lived here in Cornwall for the last 4 years having been a student at Falmouth University, where she completed her degree in Business and Digital Marketing. Hilary is also a trained dance teacher (Ballet, Modern, Contemporary and Tap) - She has a lot to offer us, and I can envisage our church services will be enriched by dance and movement – when we are permitted to move and mingle that is!

Hilary is Trilingual (English, Mandarin and Malay). She has very good communication skills, and whilst she was at univer-sity, she was a Unibuddy Ambassador, assisting students in finding their way around, explaining the university system and culture, and ensuring students had contact information on their individual courses.
