Planning Strategies•Teams & individuals•Some programmatic roles (e.g.
recruit a faculty member to do workshop, organize All Bonner Service)
•Some logistical roles (e.g., staff registration table, make campus signs)
•Co-create a calendar for all of these elements
Structure: Stetson•We defined what Stetson focused
on in our community•We broke off into Focus teams of
up to 10 students•Each focus team is responsible for:
• 1 Social Event• 1 Workshop• Contacting Faculty and Community
Partners •1 Service Event•Resource Management
Planning: Stetson•Created a skeleton for the conference•Figured out how many social events,
service events, and what down time there would be
•Brainstormed ways to keep attendees engaged throughout the conference
•Set weekly focus group meetings and had every other all call dedicated to SLI planning
•Had an action plan ready as we got closer to the date of the conference
Wiki: Stetson•Each team was responsible for keeping their section in the wiki up to date
•Show and tell during “All Call” Meetings
•Using it as communication tool for all focus groups
•We created a planning wiki and a resource wiki for attendees HTTP://
