Welcome

Summer and Fall 2021 courses will still offer many courses online. However, we are striving to phase in more hybrid and in-person classes. We are taking a cautious and measured approach

because we want to ensure the safety of both our students and our employees. We will continue to require everyone on campus to wear a face mask, to practice social distancing, and to follow other health and safety protocols to counter the spread of COVID-19 and its

variants.

Welcome to Hartnell College!

We are pleased that you have made the choice to attend Hartnell and our aim is to do everything possible to make your educational experience an exceptional one. Because we want your experience to be exceptional, Hartnell provides an array of instructional and student support services to respond to the needs of our students. No one does it alone, so whether you need financial aid, tutoring, educational or career planning, child care, food assistance, or have other needs, please don’t hesitate to ask for assistance so that we may understand how best to meet your specific needs.

This past year has been a difficult one as we have all dealt with the various effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Although we still have a long way to go, Hartnell College and the greater community are on the road to recovery. While we will still offer many of our classes online for the immediate future, we are striving to phase in more hybrid and in-person classes. We are taking a cautious and measured approach because we want to ensure the safety of both our students and our employees. Safety is a priority concern and we will continue to require everyone on campus to wear a face mask, to practice social distancing, and to follow other health and safety protocols to counter the spread of COVID-19 and its variants. We also encourage all students to get vaccinated as soon as they are eligible. There is a lot of misinformation circulating about the different vaccines, but vaccination is our best chance to defeat COVID-19. So please get vaccinated!

We want all of our students to succeed and that is why we are here to support you at every step of the way on your educational journey. Hartnell offers a wide range of transfer and career pathways. Whatever your goals, we want to help you to fulfill them. In the end, your success is our success!

On behalf of our Board of Trustees and our staff, faculty, and management, we wish you great success in your educational experience at Hartnell College.

Go Hartnell Panthers!

Raúl Rodríguez, Ph.D. Interim Superintendent/President
