A day to explore working with sand trays and miniatures which will be powerful both for you and your work with clients. We will create a number of different trays, exploring childhood, current relationships, dilemmas and fairy tales. Full instructions on what to bring will be sent to participants on booking.
Fri Oct 9 Working with Timelines - £85 Learn how Timelines can powerfully help clients tell the story of their lives. Today is not just about using lines and words, but creativity, crafts and pashminas! Kay Choudary will also give a demonstration on how creative timelines can help clients explore the pain of the past without becoming retraumatised.

Tue Nov 3 Working with Adults Abused in Childhood - £75 This important day sensitively explores the issue of childhood sexual abuse and the painful repercussions frequently experienced by survivors in adulthood.
Wed Nov 4 Extreme Reactions: Working with Self Injury and Suicide - £75
Today we look at how to work with clients with unbearable pain. We explore the reactions of the client in self injuring, including risk assessment, and also address what to do when clients are suicidal. Today includes vicarious traumatisation and self care for the counsellor.
Sat Nov 14 Working with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder - £85
Guest speaker Julia Everett explores theories surrounding OCD, including basic neurobiology, before looking at how an integrative approach can help clients with this debilitating disorder. She will discuss a range of ideas, including the role of creative interventions and psycho-education.

What destroys trust and how can the wounds of betrayal be healed? These key questions will be addressed today, including trust in childhood and in adult relationships.
Sat Oct 10 Narcissism and Echoism - £75 A challenging day which takes a fresh look at Narcissism. Is it always wrong to be a narcissist? We take a look at healthy self-worth and self-care, and explore when this becomes selfish and even abusive to others. The day includes living with a narcissistic parent and recovery from abuse. We will also explore Echoism – a way of being that props up the ego of the narcissist - and the devastating effect this can have on our sense of self.
