Kívac® and Kívac® Xpand Policies

Changes in reservation confirmationIn the case an error is found in the booking confirmation, it shall be informed within 24 hours after being received. Otherwise, full acceptance and consent of the information therein is acknowledged.

Reservation Cancellations Policies on changes and cancellations must be read at the time of booking and are subject to the conditions of each hotel. In case a cancellation is made with the minimum anticipation required by the hotel, the full amount of reserved points will be reimbursed as well as the reservation fee (where applicable).Changes and cancellations for hotels outside Mexico do not apply, there will be no reimbursement of points or reservation fee.Changes and cancellations for flights or activities do not apply.Check that the information in the confirmation of the reservation is correct, otherwise, please give notice.In case there is a change of hotel and/or date, the total of the required points may suffer changes in compliance with the current rate published on the website www.kivac.com.mx. In case the change or cancellation is made with less anticipation than required, there will be no reimbursement of points or money. In case of no show on the first night, it will be considered as so (No Show) with no point or reservation fee refund, and the hotel will have the liberty of giving the room to another guest.

Policy for purchasing food with Kívac® PointsThe price shown in points includes taxes and service, check consumption schedules at the hotel. Food included in the buffet breakfast may vary according to the chosen dates and hotel. Lunch and dinner include 1 appetizer or soup, 1 main course, and 1 dessert per person. Beverages are not included. Meat cuts and lobster are not included. The à la carte service is per person and not transferable. The purchase of these meals does not apply to Room Service. Changes, cancellations do not apply for meal purchase, it is not refundable or accruable, unless the stay reservation is cancelled. Does not apply for special dinners or events like Christmas and New Year’s Eve.

Policy for purchasing other travel complements with Kívac® PointsThere are no changes, cancellations or refunds in the purchase of activities, tours, transportation, and flights with Kívac® Points. The user understands and accepts that he is responsible for arriving on time at the scheduled appointments programmed at the designated places and for complying with the requirements requested to get these services.

International Reservation PolicyAn additional tax may be charged for some international destinations in local currency. This charge will be in addition to the one in Kívac® Points and to the reservation fee in case it exists. Kívac® is not responsible for this charge and will not refund travelers for this payment.

Reservation Fee PolicyA reservation fee may apply whenever the Kívac® agreement states this fee is NOT included in the established price per point.

Environmental Sanitation TaxThe official decree for sanitation right came into effect on January 2019 in Cancún, in the Benito Juárez municipality of Quintana Roo, which consists of paying a $26.00 MXN fee per night during your stay, for the execution of environmental sanitation works, such as beach conservation and management, comprehensive treatment of urban solid waste, environmentally friendly public lighting, and the elimination of open landfills. This payment will be made directly at the hotel’s front desk and applies per room and per night.

Kívac® Xpand Travel PolicyWith Kívac® Xpand you can travel to all Kívac® hotels and to more than 10,000 external hotels in case Kívac® has no availability, i.e. to one of the exclusive Kívac® Xpand destinations. Also, you can travel to beach hotels on Holy Week, Easter, and to external hotels from December 16 through January 6. You accrue Wishvac® Points for your future purchases of Kívac® Point packages. Wishvac® Points are 5% of the point total of your reservations in Grand Fiesta Americana, Fiesta Americana, The Explorean, Fiesta Inn, Gamma, and One Hotels (maximum 1500 points).
