LyndaCampus is an online subscription service that provides 24/7/365 access to on-demand video training for software and technology relating to business, statistics, general computing, design and photography, video, audio, and web technologies.
These online instructional courses covering over 1000 software titles incorporate live action screen capture with audio, transcripts, and sample work �les that walk users through the learning process.
Lynda.com provides the largest and most frequently updated training titles and materials of any online training company that currently exists.
The online training delivery method used by the service supports all major browsers and operating systems as well as mobile devices.
Faculty members that require their students to use technology can bene�t greatly from this product by incorporating it into their curriculum or using it as asupplemental support system.
Students would also have the opportunity to learn the very latest softwaretechnologies which change rapidly and may not be o�ered or taught as atraditional Stockton course.

Stockton will have the latest in online software training and support and will truly be a 24/7 Learning Community to further support its excellence as an environment for learning.
The approximate cost of this service is $59,308 which will allow Faculty and Students to use the service 24/7 for one year. This comes out to $4.00 per userif the service is paid in full before the end of December 2011, a savings of 75 cents per user, $9,364 in total.
Lynda.com o�ers a high level of stattistical reporting allowing Stockton to track the usage data of the service in great detail. In addition to the statitical reporting, surveys of the Faculty and Student population can be used to prove the cost e�ectiveness and value of this type of online training service.

Lynda.com Campus Trial Summary
At the request of the 2020 Learning Team a 3 week free trial of Lynda.com campus was initaited to allow faculty and students to familiarize themselves with the o�ering of this online training company and provide feedback.

It is not always easy to get to the courses sched-uled by Computer Services and often there are people with varying level of skills in those courses which slows learning for some and is too fast for others. This will allow users to pace them-selves as well as individualize their learning. It also can be done from home, which is a bonus.
I compared a subject matter I was familiar with to one of the demos and found the info to be accurate. That provided comfort that the other demos would contain valid and accurate training.
Although the length of the videos is of concern to me, I like that they are divided into chapters for ease of skipping to the needed topic quickly.
There is so much out there, and it's constantly changing.... We can't learn everything we need to know in that one computer class freshman year... This. Was. A. Phenomenal. Idea. Seriously, guys... Keep the service. Lynda is the bee's knees.
Do you feel that lynda.com would meet your learning needs / objectives?
Yes, several colleagues have had discussions with me about their inability to learn exactly what they wanted to learn in the courses o�ered by Computer Services. The Computer Services sta� does try to individualize courses but it is really hard to do so when you have so many di�erent people with di�erent skills.
Easy to use, o�ers a variety of subject matter, and provides a listing of previously viewed titles
I have a lot of needs in terms of mastering adobe, spss, and the like... I dont have credits to burn learning this stu�... I just have to learn as i go.... This really is the best product out there to meet these needs.
I have my gripes, but it really is the best out there. I looked... Nothing else comes close. I wish they would do a little more to show you the capabili-ties of software in the beginning of the course. Other than that, �awless executed and easily digestible content... A+++
