A farm share or CSA is an arrangement between a farmer and customer where you typically buy a subscription to a local farm in advance of the season. By offering “shares” of seasonal harvests, the farm benefits from your financial support while you reap the rewards of good food, grown with care purchased directly from farmers you know.

The time to sign up is generally between January and April, but each farm varies. As consumer needs have shifted, many CSAs and farm shares are adapting their business model—adding home delivery, new drop points, additional season shares and sign-up options. CSAs are surging in popularity, so we encourage you to begin your research for 2021 now!
