These courses offer self-paced, recorded videos, available whenever and wherever you are. All you need is a computer, speakers, and a high-speed Internet connection. If you have Sage Business Care Gold, then you will have unlimited access to web-based Anytime Learning courses and year-end training. You can take the training alone or earn certification. The choice is yours

Live Online Classes

Online, instructor-led classes are scheduled for a specific date and time. You'll enjoy a hands-on-lab experience from the comfort of your office or home. Your knowledgeable instructor will share their desktop to demonstrate the software and answer your questions. You'll also connect to a "virtual" computer lab to practice your new skills. Assessments to Earn Certification

Assessments are online and consist of multiple-choice, multiple-response, and true-false questions. Assessments are open book. You may use training manuals (if provided), class notes, product documentation, or online help during the assessment; however, you can’t run Anytime Learning videos while in an assessment. The minimum acceptable score is 80%. You receive 2 attempts per registration. Each exam expires 90 days from registration date, so remember to take the exam before it expires. A complimentary sample Expert Challenge is available for practice. You may take it once.

Managing Your Employees with Sage HRMS

Scheduled Training Virtual Classroom 16 hours

During this course, we will explore the features and functionality available in Sage HRMS HR. Topics will include using the navigation pane, the user preferences, and the employee toolbar to manage your employee data. We will review the file structure in Sage HRMS, the various HR detail pages, and the tasks and processes needed to manage HR, whether it is for one employee or a group of employees. We will also discuss time off management, as well as the reporting capabilities available in Sage HRMS with standard reports and the secure query. This training includes hands-on exercises so you can practice what you have learned in a demo environment. After completing this course, you will be able to:

• Operate the Employee Toolbar to promptly navigate employee information • Quickly and efficiently update your employee information using Tasks and Processes in

Sage HRMS

• Make use of Sage HRMS canned reports to give the metrics you need when you need them

Managing your HR Setup in Sage HRMS

Scheduled Training Virtual Classroom 8 hours During this course, we will introduce you to the set up and management of HR code tables in Sage HRMS. Starting with an overview of all HR code tables in the system, we will deep-dive into creating, editing, and managing benefit code tables. We will review the file structure, functions, and expressions, as well as the tool you will use to manage them – Expression Builder. From rate tables to formulas and complex benefit codes containing both, this course will give you a thorough, hands-on approach to managing your setup for Sage HRMS. This training includes hands-on exercises so you can practice what you have learned in a demo environment. After completing this course, you will be able to:

• Recognize the benefits of using code tables • Explain what code tables are

• Use the manual to: ▪ Indicate the use of each table ▪ Locate the field that uses the table ▪ Indicate whether codes in the table can be changed

Breezing Through Sage HRMS Payroll Scheduled Training Virtual Classroom 16 hours

Building on the foundation of HR management with Sage HRMS, during this course, we will explore flexible payroll processing with Sage HRMS Payroll. Topics will include system navigation, the payroll detail pages, and the steps required to setup and run payroll. You will learn to assign earnings and deduction codes, create and assign selection lists, update earnings and deductions and taxes, create timecards, calculate payroll, print and post checks, create the EFT file to send to the bank, and void checks. We will also review standard reports and the many other reporting options available with Sage HRMS Payroll. This training includes hands-on exercises so you can practice what you have learned in a demo environment. After completing this course, you will be able to:

Sage Employee Self Service (ESS) - From Setup to Effective Use

In this session, you will be given an overview of Sage Employee Self Service (ESS) and then dive right into using the ESS interface, configuring Sage HRMS in preparation for ESS, ESS roles and how to use them, defining logon parameters, and more. HRMS - Sage HRMS HR Application Specialist Certification Package

Overview

The Sage HR Application Specialist Certification combines the roles of HR Generalist, HR Benefit Administrator, and HR System Administrator, which covers a plethora of topics and skill sets. The topics covered and the skills you will compile and be measured on in this certification package are summed up below by role.

The skills that the HR Generalist needs to carry out the day-to-day tasks, entry of data on employees, and reporting in Sage HRMS HR would include but not limited to: adding a new hire or rehiring an old employee, assigning leave of absence (LOA) to an employee or returning them from LOA, changing the personal status (i.e. married) of an employee, changing their job or pay or both, updating their information such as email address, dealing with the various aspect of time off, terminating an employee, and running reports for management. The skills needed for the HR Benefit Administrator and the HR Systems Administrator crossover and could possibly be the same person at some companies. These two roles would handle the set up and maintenance of the codes and benefit plans on Sage HRMS HR and would include but not be limited to: the setup of all codes (i.e. job codes, absence reason codes, benefit type codes, FMLA codes, etc.); the setup of all benefit plans (i.e. saving, medical, time off); benefit rate table for calculations; and the maintenance of the system (i.e. mass updates, plan changes, import calculation updates, update benefits for employees). In addition, the HR System Administrator needs the skill to handle the following: Group Security, User Security, customizing the system, archiving terminated employees, troubleshooting, and rebuilding system files Click here for the Learning path to certifications web page.

Sage HRMS Payroll Application Specialist Certification The Sage HRMS Payroll Specialist Certification combines the roles of Payroll Generalist and the Payroll System Administrator and covers an enormous amount of information and requires a large skill set. The topics covered and the skills you will compile and be measured on in this certification package are summed up below by role. The Payroll Generalist is responsible for the day- to-day tasks, data entry, processing payroll, and managing and reporting on taxes in Sage HRMS Payroll and the skills needed would include but not limited to: building and assigning selection lists to be used in payroll and reporting; assigning taxes to employees; creating employee distribution records; adding employee supplemental information to employees records; processing all nine steps in creating pay checks; using tools like gross up calculator and update check publish date when needed; and reversing transactions when necessary. The Payroll System Administrator is responsible for the installation, implementation, integration, and setup of all purchased Sage HRMS Payroll products; they also assist the Sage HRMS Payroll end users with system administration and troubleshooting, and the skills needed would include but not limited to: entering earning and deduction codes; mapping the employee configuration; setting up the Federal, state and local taxes in the system; customizing the system for the company; setting up all the parts of the General Ledger; and setting up the payroll options, payroll company profile, and payroll integration with the G/L. The Payroll System Administrator shares certain skill with the HR System Administrator and these skills include: Group Security, User Security, customizing the system, archiving terminated employees, troubleshooting, and rebuilding system files The Payroll Specialist Certification includes 74 On Demand videos totaling just over eleven hours (11 hours 2 minutes).
