Competitors Prepare Their Tastiest Wings and Serve Them in Designated Booths
The Community Eats Wings and Votes for Their Favorites With Dollars or Tickets
W4W Donates All Income to Clean
Water Efforts
Based on attendance trends over the past two events, we anticipate between 600-800 attendees and 20-25 competitors in 2019.
We will, again, partner with the Health Department to consult with the competitors before the event to prepare to feed the voters.
Local community comes togetherGlobal community gains clean water
Guests vote by putting cash or pre-purchased tickets into buckets at their favorite booth.
In addition, ten preselected “stealth judges” will be chosen by a disinterested person and provided with unique tokens, worth 20, 50 and 100 votes.
The winning team will be named based on points totaled from dollars, tickets and tokens. The winning team is awarded a one-of-a-kind plaque.
As a thank you, 200 gift bags are given to the voters with prizes such as gift cards and Chiefs tickets, along with information about our Hot and Atomic Sponsors.

Why Wings?
It started with a duel
on the patio
Since 2011, our founder has hosted an annual fundraiser featuringhis hand-crafted, smoked-then-dry-rubbed wings. One day in 2017,he overheard a friend claiming to have the best chicken in town.They arranged a duel on our founder’s patio with a few buddiesserving as judges. The judges would vote with their dollars and allmoney would go to support clean water efforts in Africa.
But, nothing worth doing is worth doing lightly. The duel turned into an openevent at a rented community center, featuring a live band and eightcompetitors seeking votes from nearly 200 guests. People voted for theirfavorite wings by donating their money into the competitors buckets. Yes, ourfounder was pleased with the votes from that fall evening. But, somethingbigger happened. The simple event provided clean water to 40 people for life.The next year, our impact was more than tripled.
