    5Grammar - I

    Every language has its own set of letters which are kept in a certain order. The English alphabet has 26 letters.

    This fixed order of letters is called ‘alphabetical order’ or ‘ABC order’. We can write these letters in two different ways :

    Capital letters are also known as 'upper-case letters', 'block letters' or simply 'capitals'. Small letters are also known as ‘lower-case letters'.
