2020-2021Soybean Varieties
On February 2, 1948 Leland Stratton was asked by a good customer, Nelson
Rogers, to form a partnership and purchase Albert Steel’s seed business located
at 320 North Main in Stuttgart, AR. The plant consisted of one small seed cleaner
in an old wooden rice mill.
In 1989, Stratton Seed purchased the seed
operation of Winrock Farms in Carlisle, AR and
added additional processing and 400,000 bushel
bulk storage. Additional warehouse space has
been added since the purchase.Stratton Seed purchased the assets of a competitor, Bogard Seed
Company, and added over 800,000-bushel bulk capacity in Stuttgart, AR.
The highway 79 plant in Stuttgart, AR is by far the largest and newest
of Stratton Seed’s facilities. It is the largest soybean and wheat seed
conditioning plant in the Southern United States. The plant has the
capacity to store approximately 1.5 million bulk bushels.
In 2018 Stratton made its most recent
purchase of Gemeinhardt Seed in Anniston,
Missouri, further increasing their production
and sales footprint in the south.

2. Tank-Mix Partners
3. Nozzles
4. Wind Speed, Weather
5. Susceptible Crops
6. Sensitive Area
7. Sprayer Contamination
No later than R2 or full flowering stage.
Check EnlistTankMix.com for qualified tank-mix products.
Use only nozzles & pressure combinations listed on the product label.
Target application at wind speeds greater than 3 mph, but less than 10 mph. Do not apply at wind speeds greater than 15 mph. Don’t spray during a temperature inversion.
Only spray when the wind is blowing away from susceptible crops listed on the product label, including tomatoes, fruiting vegetables, cucurbits, grapes, tobacco and cotton without the Enlist™ trait. Do not spray if the wind is blowing toward a susceptible crop.
Maintain a 30-foot downwind buffer (in the direction in which the wind is blowing) from any sensitive area (e.g., wooded areas, pastures, roadside ditches, lawns, tree plantations).
Make sure sprayer is clean from prior applications before using Enlist™ herbicides to avoid tank contamination.

Farmers need products that prioritize their needs and set high benchmarks for high-yielding genetics, and
Stratton Seed Company is excited to introduce DONMARIO: a brand that provides fresh options in soybean
seed genetics for American farmers! DONMARIO’s innovations in exclusive genetics and tailored seed traits
demonstrate a robust opportunity to partner with Stratton Seed Company and bring better soybeans to farmers.
Since launching as a small family business in 1982, DONMARIO grew quickly and earned its reputation as a
brand that seeks better soybean genetics and management practices for farmers. Independent testing trials,
countless third-party evaluations, and most importantly; farmer’s consistent success with DONMARIO’s soybeans
continue to drive DONMARIO’s success today.
DONMARIO is a high-yielding soybean genetics authority with significant market share in six countries world-
wide and is a leading brand in five of the seven largest soybean producing countries in the Americas, selling
over 16,000 units across 16 million acres each year. In 2006, DONMARIO began testing varieties in America
and established their U.S. soybean breeding program in 2007. Today, DONMARIO varieties are tested at 140
dedicated U.S. research sites, with over 425,000 yield test plots across the U.S. Furthermore, they have 65 unique
product placement strip trial locations where DONMARIO varieties are tested in different environments, row
spacing, population, and planting dates, with the objective to give the best product recommendations for
every field. Data from the past thirteen years of U.S. testing gives us confidence that DONMARIO genetics will
perform exceptionally well for each localized region.
With over 36 years in the soybean industry, DONMARIO is serious about soybeans. We believe farmers will love
all the qualities and options DONMARIO brings: exclusive genetics, top-notch soybeans, and a determination
to continue bringing ever-better soybeans to American farmers!

With a focus on decreasing input costs and maximizing profitability, Virtue Seeds offers premier non-GMO soybean germplasm. The Virtue brand was developed to take soybean breeding to its highest potential rather than stack traits onto a variety. Virtue genetics are developed to withstand stress and disease and are tested in diverse and difficult environments. After this rigorous process, only the highest yielding varieties are marketed to producers. As a dealer of Virtue non-GMO varieties, Stratton Seed is pleased to bring this option to our soybean growers.
