GRADUATE PROGRAMSRECOGNITION
1
PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
Dear Graduate:
Congratulations!
On behalf of the Board of Trustees, faculty and staff, I offer you our wholehearted congratulations as you celebrate this milestone in your life. While we are not physically together today, each and every one of us is celebrating you, the Class of 2020.
I know the past two months have been disruptive and challenging for our community, state and nation as a whole. You had to say goodbye to your friends and #HomeSweetPo so abruptly and adjust to remote classes. Once again, let me emphasize, your resilience throughout this time has been tremendous, and I have every confidence that it will continue to serve you well in the future.
I also want to congratulate your families and friends who have supported you on your journey to your degree. They have
eagerly awaited this momentous achievement and similarly deserve to relish in the “pomp and circumstance” and all that goes with that.
I hope you will take a moment today to reflect on your time at Ramapo College as well as your hard work and perseverance that has led you to this point. Know that all of us at the College take great pride in what you have accomplished and in what we know you will achieve as dynamic Ramapo alumni.
The College remains committed to celebrating you and your accomplishments in person in the future. Until then, I wish you and your families happiness, safety and good health; and I thank you, in advance, for your continued demonstration of good will, gratitude and perseverance.
Again, congratulations, we couldn’t be more proud of the Class of 2020 Roadrunners.
Sincerely
Peter P. Mercer, Ph.D. | President

RAMAPO COLLEGE ALMA MATER
Lyrics by: Michael Alasa
Music by: David Welch
Ramapo we sing to you.
Ramapo with pride.
Praised filled voices raised on high fill your mountain side.
In the time we’ve spent together we have come to learn
to have dignity, a mind that’s free and celebrate humanity.
Ramapo, as years go by.
Ramapo with love.
Even when you’re far away, forever we’ll be one.
