WELCOME LETTER FROM SCHOLARSHIP COORDINATOR

Rockport High School

February 2020

Dear Students and Parent/Guardians,

Each year RHS is fortunate to award scholarships to its graduating seniors because of the generosity of

the local community of Rockport, its businesses and citizens as well as RHS Alumni. Last year 172

individual scholarship awards were granted totaling more than $188,000. In addition to the scholarships

listed in this booklet, notices of new scholarships will be posted regularly in the Google Classroom.

Seniors should read the information at the beginning of this booklet carefully and follow the instructions

for completing the RHS Scholarship Application, including: application, cover letter and/or selected

supporting documentation. The deadline for submitting all application materials is Wednesday, April

1, 2020 at 2:10 PM. Materials submitted after April 1, 2020 at 2:10 PM will not be accepted.

The Scholarship Committees evaluate each application in terms of academic accomplishment, extra-

curricular activities, financial need and impact made to the school and community. The Guidance

Department is available to assist you with your application process.

We hope that you will take advantage of all the opportunities for scholarships that are available to you.

All students who have submitted completed applications will be financial rewarded.

Sincerely,
