2019 WCU Student Affairs Professional Involvement

Executive Summary
Professional development is an important investment for the Division of Student Affairs. It
supports faculty and staff in staying current with trends, sharpening their skills, expanding their
knowledge, and passing these competencies on to peers and students. Professional
development comes in a variety of forms, from engaging in academic programs, attending
conferences, listening to webinars and podcasts, to reading and sharing articles. It makes us a
better organization and ensures we continue to be prepared to lead in the future.
We encourage all members of the Division of Student Affairs to participate in professional
