Thank you also, to the many parents that helped at the pool and organised the delicious food for the staff and volunteers. The canteen was a huge hit and a very popular destination for the students during the day. It was an excellent carnival and our students swam extreme- ly well and behaved beautifully. SWIMMING CARNIVAL Wow! What a carnival! We had our annual swimming carnival at Pymble Ladies College yesterday 11th February. There were some incredible swims and some amazing efforts by all the students, including those that swam the non-competitive races. It was partic-ularly wonderful to see terrific behaviour by all students and their positive support for one another was excellent. These carnivals are always huge days and I would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to all the teachers who just didn’t stop all day and to the parent helpers who worked tirelessly to ensure that all the parent helpers, teachers and pool staff were provided with food and water. I would like to thank the canteen staff who prepared food and who ran the canteen at the pool and P & C for their sup-port. We are so fortunate to have such a dedicated and supportive school community.

A huge thank you to Angus C and Hannah Y for their amazing as-sistance yesterday. They certainly showed their captaincy skills.

Congratulations to all swimmers with particular mention to Keira S (Yr 6) who broke 4 records. These records and all results can be viewed within on page 4. There are some results still being final-ised. These will be posted in the next newsletter. The Hornsby Zone PSSA Swimming Carnival will be held on Friday 8th March at Pymble Ladies College. Children who came 1st, 2nd and 3rd in 50m freestyle will progress and 1st and 2nd in all other strokes. The re-lays are made up of the fastest junior and senior swimmers regard-less of the house that they swam in.

HORNSBY ZONE PSSA SUMMER COMPETITION Summer PSSA begins this Friday. Sport for all children in Years 3-6 will occur on Fridays in the morning session. Children selected into the PSSA teams will receive an orange permission note and a code of conduct. Due to the close turn around of this event we ask that your child/children hand in the permission note to the coaches and the money clearly labelled to the office if not paying on-line. In order to play the permission note will have had to be given to the coach.

League tag teams will always travel to Foxglove Oval, Mt Colah. We are awaiting the draw for more information. We wish our teams all the very best for their new season.

IN-SCHOOL SPORT Children in Years 3-6 who do school sport play at school and on occasion walk to Karuah Oval where more space gives us the op-portunity to offer a variety of sports. All children will receive notes giving approval to walk to ovals close to our school. We ask that these notes be completed as quick as you can to ensure a smooth transition into Fridays sport. We thank you for your understanding and support here.

Thank you to everyone who supported us at the swimming carni-val yesterday. What a great day, we hope the children enjoyed their little treats. Thank you to all the parent helpers. We look forward to our next carnival.

Our first week back was a hot one, the children enjoyed lots of cold snacks of which we are replenishing as much as possible, all dependent on the stock available. The kids are showing great patience waiting in the lines to be served. It's sometimes hard for the Infants children lining up for so long, we do our best to speed up this process.

Volunteers are always welcome to help out in the Infants win-dow.If you have a spare hour or so we always love parent help-ers to open the Infants window at lunchtime 12.15 - 1.35pm, sell-ing snacks and drinks. Please email us or knock on the primary door.
