Clays for KidsMay 3rd, 2019

Clays for Kids, a sporting clays tournament, will be hosted at the beautiful Colorado Clays Shooting Park. In honor of National Child Abuse Prevention Month in April, this event is designed to bring sporting enthusiasts together to spread awareness about

our mission to serve child victims of abuse, neglect, and violence. This year, we are hosting Clays for Kids three days

after April to avoid the risk of snowstorms and take advantage of the warmer weather! It will include a 15-station clayshooting

tournament and a fully catered BBQ lunch.

Denver Safe from the StartDCAC’s School-Based Child Abuse Prevention Program

Denver Safe from the Start is a bilingual school-centered prevention program for children ages three to ten. It is based on the premise that strengthening families helps to protect children from abuse and

ensure their healthy development. The program works to increase the safety and well-being of children by teaching educators about child abuse prevention and how to help families access resources, providing child development education for parents together with access to critical resources to strengthen families, and teaching young children basic self-protective and healthy living skills.

You will have the opportunity to provide one or two schools with Denver Safe from the Start programming depending in your sponsorship level. The program will be taught in early childhood

classrooms through fifth grade on a weekly basis for six weeks.

We have worked with the following schools: Ruby Hill Elementary School, Castro Elementary School, DCIS Fairmont Elementary School, Dora Moore Elementary School, & many more. In 2018, the Denver

Safe from the Start program was taught to 4,156 children, 465 parents, and 225 teachers.
