1 And the 11 th PV Awards prizes for 2019 go to… Première Vision Paris, Tuesday 17 September 2019, 5.30 pm: the whole fashion industry -weavers, tanners, designers, buyers… as well as international journalists got together at the Forum PV Perspectives (Hall 5). They were all eager to discover the winners of the 8 prizes of the 11 th PV Awards, and to celebrate textile and leather excellence. For 11 years, this exciting event awaited by fashion industry professionals singles out the most inventive and innovative creations from weavers and tanners exhibiting at Première Vision Fabrics and Première Vision Leather. To select the products to be awarded, influential personalities from the international fashion scene responded to Première Vision’s invitation. An exceptional jury which welcomed a special President coming from another realm: the talented Dutch artist Bart Hess who explores many artistic fields such as photography, video, animation, visual arts and fashion, and uses everyday materials, as well as new textures and materials in a highly innovative way to conjure up new worlds. He is now internationally renowned, having collaborated with, for example, Lady Gaga, the Palais de Tokyo, Iris Van Herpen, Nick Knight, Lucy Mc Rae and Walter Van Beinrendonck. Première Vision Paris, Tuesday 17 September 2019, 5.30 pm: the whole fashion industry -weavers, tanners, designers, buyers… as well as international journalists got together at the Forum PV Perspectives (Hall 5). They were all eager to discover the winners of the 8 prizes of the 11th PV Awards, and to celebrate textile and leather excellence.

For 11 years, this exciting event awaited by fashion industry professionals singles out the most inventive and innovative creations from weavers and tanners exhibiting at Première Vision Fabrics and Première Vision Leather.

To select the products to be awarded, influential personalities from the international fashion scene responded to Première Vision’s invitation.

• The PV Fabrics Handle Prize 2019 goes to Lyria (Italy) – Stand 6N18 For the fabric allying the most astonishing tactile and behavioural qualities, the fabric that touches the emotions.

• The PV Fabrics Imagination Prize 2019 goes to Jakob Schlaepfer (Switzerland) – Stand 5L11 For the boldest, most original, most amazing fabric in terms of decoration, technique, finishing, innovation or technology.

• The PV Fabrics Fashion Smart Creation Prize 2019 goes to Bonotto (Italy) – Stand 6L14-6M9 For the most creative responsible fabric and leather.

The 4 prizes for Première Vision Leather:

• The PV Leather Grand Jury Prize 2019 goes to Akto (Korea) – Stand 3H96 For the most exceptional, symbolic and pertinent leather of the season.

• The PV Leather Handle Prize 2019 goes to Marmara Deri (Turkey) – Stand 3G21-3H22 For the leather combining the most amazing tactile and behavioural qualities, the leather that touches the emotions.

• The PV Leather Imagination Prize 2019 goes to FC Creacio / Innovacio (Spain) – Stand 3C98 For the most daring, original and amazing leather in terms of decoration, technique, finishing, innovation or technology.

• The PV Leather Fashion Smart Creation Prize 2019 goes to Kotai Tannery (Taiwan, China) – Stand 3C63 For the most creative responsible fabric and leather.

During the ceremony, Bart Hess and the Jury handed out the trophies, created by artist Miguel Chevalier, a pioneer in digital and virtual art, to each of the 8 winners.
