CONCEPT
BUILT BEYOND BELIEF An extension of the “Built Beyond Belief” concept of the original Ninja H2, the new Ninja H2 and Ninja H2 Carbon benefit from engine updates that increase maximum power to 231 PS† – making these supercharged supersport machines Kawasaki’s most powerful street models ever.
† This engine is rated in PS power units. Gross power is different from net power. Net power is generally less than gross, but varies with engine speci ications. Gross power is a general measure to compare one engine to another, as to its overall capacity. Your speci ic engine net power rating will be different and most likely less than the rated power.
Ninja H2 Carbon
MORE POWERFUL ENGINEIncreased Power: 231 PS!With its significantly increased power, the Ninja H2’s supercharged acceleration is more exhilarating than ever. Maximum output is now 170.0 kW (231 PS)†, making the Ninja H2 the most powerful street model in the Kawasaki lineup, and the most powerful mass-production model on the market††.
* Feedback from the Balanced Supercharged engine of the Ninja H2SX delivers increased engine efficiency. This results in fuel efficiencyon par with its predecessor, despite an approximately 15% increasein power. Key components from the Ninja H2 SX include: the air filter, intake chamber and spark plugs.

OTHER CHANGES FOR 19MY
OTHER CHANGES FOR 19MYBrembo Stylema Calipers
Latest Bridgestone Tyres
Brembo’s Stylema monobloc calipers are the company’s latest high-spec street-use calipers.
* New BridgestoneRS11 sport tyrescontribute to improvedhandling. (Photo 1)
* Compared to the previous M50 units, the new calipers have less volumearound the pistons and brake pads. This reduces the internal spacetaken up by brake fluid, enabling a more direct response.
* The new calipers are also lighter, with smaller external dimensions thatalso enable shorter mounting bolts. A redesign of key sections allowsstiffness to be maintained while enabling a more direct connection tothe piston area.
* Stylema calipers cool very rapidly thanks to increased airflow aroundthe brake pads, increased space around the pistons, and an openingthat allows air to exit from the central bridge.
* This is Kawasaki’s first use of Stylema calipers.
New TFT Colour Instrumentation The advanced, high-tech design of the instrumentation contributes to the Ninja H2’s flagship-level quality. The analogue-style tachometer is complemented by a high-grade full colour TFT LCD screen that enables information to be displayed graphically. Four selectable display modes allow riders to prioritise the information they want to see depending on the kind of riding they are doing at the time.

* The high-grade full colour display features TFT (thin-film transistor)technology to ensure a level of visibility. The screen’s backgroundcolour (black or white) is selectable at the touch of a button, and screenbrightness adjusts automatically to suit available light. In addition toscrollable multi-function windows, four display modes offer riders achoice of how they want their information presented.

* A number of functions are available:- Vehicle Info: information such as fuel gauge, odometer, maintenance
schedule, etc can be viewed via the smartphone.- Riding Log: GPS route information as well as vehicle running
information can be logged and viewed via the smartphone.- Telephone notices: when a call or mail is received by the
smartphone, this is indicated on the instrument display.- General Settings: general instrument display settings (such as preferred
units, date, date format, etc) can be adjusted via the smartphone.
Smartphone ConnectivityA Bluetooth chip built into the instrument panel enables riders to connect to their motorcycle wirelessly. Using the smartphone application “RIDEOLOGY THE APP,” a number of instrument functions can be accessed, contributing to an enhanced motorcycling experience.
- Type 4: Importantinformation isprioritised andpresented graphicallyfor easy digestion.G-force (based onfeedback from theIMU) is illustratedvisually rather thannumerically. (Photo 5)
* Handle control switches put all mode selection and display options atthe rider’s fingertips.
5 * Once vehicle information has been uploaded to the app, it can beviewed via the smartphone. Available information includes: totaldistance (odometer), trip A, trip B, total time, average gas mileage, average speed, max lean angle (right/left), battery, Kawasaki servicereminder, oil change reminder, etc.
* Detailed riding logs including GPS information and vehicle runninginformation can be recorded. While riding, the app tracks vehiclespeed, rpm, gear position, throttle position, front brake fluid pressure,acceleration/deceleration, current mileage, coolant temperature, andboost pressure and temperature from moment to moment. Once theriding log has been saved, riders can review these items in a graphic-style display at any point along the route. The app can also display aride summary, with information that may include: route travelled, totaldistance, total time, average gas mileage, average speed, max leanangle (right/left), etc. For either display mode, riders can select whichitems are displayed, and can arrange them in their preferred order.
* When riding (with the app ON), the bike and smartphone are alwaysconnected. Once the engine is turned off, or the smartphone is outof range (approximately 20 m) of the instrument’s Bluetooth chip, thelatest riding information is stored by the app and may be viewed on thesmartphone. Any changes made via the app while the engine is off, orwhile out of range, will not be implemented until the ignition is turned onand the smartphone is in range with the app ON.

“Supercharged”emblem emphasisesthe even greaterpower offered by NinjaH2’s superchargedengine. Colouraccents express thespecialness of thishigh-performanceengine, while graphicsdepicting high-velocityintake air being spunaround convey asense of speed.(Photo 6)
* Wheel pinstripes contribute to the high-class image.
* Soft and hard segments in the coat work together like a chemicalspring, creating a trampoline effect that absorbs impacts.† Notes:1. In some cases, it takes more than one week for recovery.2. The paint will not recover in the case of scratches caused by a coin or key, or zip
fasteners.
Highly Durable Paint Kawasaki’s Highly Durable paint (used on all non-carbon bodywork parts) features a special coat that allows scratches to repair themselves, enabling the paint to maintain its high-quality finish†.
All-LED Lighting* A change to a LED-type license plate lamp means that all lighting
equipment (headlamp, position lamps, taillight, turn signals and licenseplate lamp) on the Ninja H2 is now LED.

SPECIFICATIONS
VehicleThe Ninja H2R is a closed course riding use only model and is not manufactured for use on public roads, streets or highways. All usage of this vehicle should be limited to riding on a closed course. The H2R was designed to carry the operator only. Do not attempt to ride with a passenger. Do not ride this vehicle in the rain.
PartsParts designed specifically for the H2R are for closed course riding use only and cannot be purchased without proof of H2R ownership (product registration, VIN confirmation, etc).
Exhaust SoundThe exhaust sound level of the H2R at the time of factory shipment is 120 dB/A using Auto Cycle Union (ACU) guidelines. It is the owner’s responsibility to confirm that noise regulations of closed courses permit vehicles reaching this level of exhaust sound. Changes to the exhaust system may alter performance and sound level.
Usage, Maintenance and WarrantyAs a closed course riding use only model, specific procedures must be followed when riding and maintaining the H2R:
Vehicle Tyres:The standard tyres are designed exclusively for use on a closed course. These specialty tyres are not designed for oval or partial oval course use and may not be suitable for other courses or conditions. Kawasaki recommends that you follow the tyre manufacturer's instructions and warnings, and that you consult the tyre manufacturer to select the appropriate tyres for the course or riding conditions.Computer-controlled systems such as KIBS, KTRC, etc are tuned to the standard tyres. Use of tyres other than the standard tyres could affect performance of these systems.
Standard TyresFront: Bridgestone, Racing Battlax V01F SoftRear: Bridgestone, Racing Battlax V01R Medium
Tyre Warmers: To prevent loss of tyre grip, always use tyre warmers to heat tyres prior to riding the H2R. Cold tyres do not provide sufficient grip and may cause loss of vehicle control and/or a crash, which could result in injury or death.
2019 Ninja H2R Cautions
Vehicle Storage: When storing the H2R, always use front and rear motorcycle stands that keep both tyres off the ground. This will prevent tyre deformation and adverse impacts on performance.
Vehicle Maintenance:In addition to regular periodic maintenance, service inspections are required every 15 hours of engine operation above 8,000 min-1 (rpm). These service intervals are monitored through the vehicle’s ECU with service messages displayed on the multifunction meter. (See Owner’s Manual for additional information)
Vehicle Warranty:The H2R is sold “As is” with no warranties, express or implied. The purchaser accepts all responsibilities concerning cost of service, maintenance and repairs.
