Benefits York Hospital Auxiliary’s Small Grants ProgramThe largest used book sale on the East Coast celebrates 61 years of success. Over 250,000 books and related items are sold during this event. All items are donated by the community throughout the year. This year’s event provides support to the WellSpan York Hospital Auxiliary’s Small Grants Program.

The original VNA vision remains strong and has made possible not only growth, expansion and achievement, but it has also helped to establish an outstanding record of service to the community. VNA provides 142,504 visits annually to our community.

York Prescription for Caring FundBy supporting the 2019 Double Creek event, your organization will help support the WellSpan
“Prescription for Caring” Program in York County. This fund serves patients who are un- or
underinsured and is designed to specifically meet the needs of those who cannot afford the cost of
their medications.“Prescription for Caring” funds are used to lower out-of-pocket medication costs for
those who meet financial eligibility requirements. In the past decade, the Double Creek Event has
contributed over $500,000 to this fund.
York Hospital Auxiliary’s Small Grants ProgramThe Book Nook Bonanza provides support to the WellSpan York Hospital Auxiliary’s Small Grants Program. The WellSpan York Hospital Auxiliary awards many small grants within WellSpan to assist with programs and equipment.
Areas such as the neonatal intensive care unit, behavioral health, cardiac care and emergency department have all benefited from these grant awards. Improving services and equipment with these grant dollars help many members in our community.
SAFE (Sexual Assault Forensics Examiners) ProgramThe Annual WellSpan York Health Foundation Golf Tournament will provide support to the SAFE (Sexual Assault Forensics Examiners) Program at WellSpan York Hospital. WellSpan York Hospital’s team of Forensic nurses are specially trained professionals who understand the delicate nature of performing sexual assault and abuse examinations working with pediatric and adult patients. Funds will be used to purchase program equipment and supplies, as well as provide opportunities for continuing education and specialized training.
