2019 CSFB Scholarship
Application Deadline:
April 1, 2019
The Carbon/Stillwater Counties Farm Bureau Scholarship was organized to give aid to students
with a desire to pursue a career in the agricultural industry. Two (2) $500 scholarships are awarded
annually (ideally one in Carbon County and one in Stillwater County) based upon academic
achievement, career goals, extracurricular activities, determination, leadership skills, and a
commitment to study agriculture.
Who is eligible? Any Senior attending high school in Carbon or Stillwater Counties entering a four-year accredited
college or university or a Junior/Vocational College AND pursuing a career in the agricultural industry.
Students must be a resident of the State of Montana and a US citizen.
Requirements:
Applications are accepted each year between February 1 and April 1 and must be accompanied by the
following applicable items:
High school transcript(s)
Two (2) current letters of recommendation
If any of these items are missing, the application will not be considered.
Do you or your parent(s) have to be a Farm Bureau Member?
No.
Instructions:
Letters of recommendation must have been written within the last six (6) months and contain the name
of the applicant, comments on the applicant’s character and abilities, and an opinion of his/her ability to
profit from a college education. A parent or close relative cannot be considered as a reference. The
name and occupation of each person writing a letter is required.

Scholarship funds will be awarded upon evidence of registration at an accredited college or university.

LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION: Applicant must submit two (2) CURRENT letters of recommendation (refer to instructions for
guidelines). The name and occupation of each person writing a letter is required. The persons writing letters of recommendation
(relatives excluded) are:

education. Include reasons for your choice of major subject and your current plans for the future. Please type (use additional

2019 MFBF WLC Scholarship
The Montana Farm Bureau Federation will present two, $1,500.00 scholarships made
available through special efforts of the MFB Women’s Leadership Committee. The scholarships
are available to both boys and girls.
The winner will be selected on the following criteria:
1) Must be an incoming college freshman.
2) Scholarship must be used the year it is awarded.
3) Must be a current paid Montana Farm Bureau member, or an immediate member of a
current paid Montana Farm Bureau family.
4) Applications will be scored on the following top priorities:
a. Scholastic achievement (high school GPA)
b. Future Goals (college, career, activities, etc.)
c. Community Involvement
d. School activities
Applicant must also provide:
TWO (2) LETTERS OF REFERENCE.
A HIGH SCHOOL TRANSCRIPT OF CREDITS AND GPA.
*DO NOT ATTACH ANY EXTRA SHEETS FOR YOUR ANSWERS*
