The Alumni Association of Chhotubhai Gopalbhai Patel Institute of Technology organized

"Alumni Meet 2019"- a programmed to reconnect with the alumni and celebrate their success

and various achievements on January 13 ,2019. The objectives of the meet are to interact with

the alumni, to make the alumni contacts live/updates details, to conduct alumni satisfaction

survey, and to take valuable feedbacks/suggestions for teaching-learning process/syllabus.

The Alumni started arriving in college by 9.00 A.M., and they were received by the registration

team. The alumni students were given executive diary and badges of Alumni Meet as a token of

love at the registration desk. The registration process followed by the breakfast. All the

faculties and the alumni students than proceed towards the Pushpam Tarsadia Auditorium for

the inaugural ceremony.

The Alumni Meet started with an invocation song seeking the blessings of almighty. The hosts

of the event, Ms. Bansari Mor and Mr. Jayesh Jariwala, Professor, CGPIT welcome the dignitaries

and alumni. To start the occasion on an auspicious note, alumni students of first admitted batch

of CGPIT were invited to proceed for the lighting of the lamp, accompanied by dignitaries of the

university and trust.

Alumni of previous six batches from diploma, undergraduate and post graduated were

invited,and total 310 alumni were present on that day.

Mr. Manish Nakrani, Convenor, Alumni committee has given a welcome speech on this occasion.

He mentioned about plan and execution of this idea of the meet. Along with he also summarizes

the CGPIT journey then and now with thanking management and trustees for providing

opportunity in holistic development.

Mr. Kirit Patel, Vice-President, UTU address students and recall the initial phase of development at UTU and CGPIT along with the support of students. He has also mentioned the support of Late. Shri Jatin Desai Sir. He gave an open invitation to alumni and requested them to arrange such meet twice in a year.

Dr. Navin Shah, Advisor, UTU and former director of CGPIT from 2013 to 2017 had requested students to recall their sweet memories after completion of the inaugural session and also advise to visit the campus to the development of institute in a very short period.

Dr. R. V. Patil, Director, CGPIT welcome all the alumni as well as dignitaries. He assured alumni for all kind of support needed for the Alumni Association. He also gives an open invitation to all alumni to visit CGPIT and be part of different events organized by the college and university.

Dr. Chinmay Desai Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, UTU also thank all the alumni for spare their valuable time for alumni meet 2019. He recalled the initial years of CGPIT establishment and shared the golden memories with the alumni of the first and second batch. He also expressed thanks to alumni for all kind of support and cooperation in the initial years.

Desai. Dean, Faculty of Engineering for admission process and during academics of the students.

All the batches had been felicitated year wise and branch wise on the stage. The group photo has

been taken for their sweet memory along with the feedback on the stage itself. The video has

been shown to all the alumni as a glimpse while there were at the campus. A ten-minute video

refreshes the memory, and there was huge laud of applause by alumni.

The vote of Thanks by Dr. Devendra Thakor

Dr. Devendra Thakor gave a vote of thanks and requests all the alumni to be connected with the

institute. He had mentioned that there are no hidden agendas of these meet as from the start of

this idea there were rumors around the meet. He requested alumni to guide, motivate and share

their expertise with the junior students studying in the CGPIT. He gave a simple message and

ended with the note “Be United Be Ahead.”

The Alumni Meet is followed by the lunch at the girl’s hostel. The Alumni accompany by the

faculties and all the dignitaries for lunch.

Alumni Registration Website Portal The web portal with the domain name almaCGPIT.org was designed and developed by students of CE & IT Department Mr. Varun Elvia. The work was guided by the faculties of CE & IT Department Mr. Parth Shah and Mr. Vishvajit Bakrola. The entire registration process was done using the web portal.

Alumni Committee Member

The committee was formed by the Dr. R. V. Patil, Director CGPIT for organizing the Alumni Meet

– 2019. The team prepared the list of alumni students and gathered the contact information like

phone number and email id. The invitation was sent to all the alumni through the mail and

social media. The contentious follow up has been taken by the coordinators till the date of the

event to make it a grand success. The total 4000 plus alumni have been invited for the alumni

meet. The total 550 alumni show their interest by registering themselves in the alumni web

portal.

Concluding Alumni Meet:

The Alumni showed their willingness to help and partner in various ways. The meet

ended with a sweet hope of meeting again with alumni next year.

CGPIT looks forward for a greater partnership with Alumni in the days to come.
