    賽事中心 Event Centre

    1. 請先參閱及記下賽員編號,才到賽事中心報到。

    Please read and remember your competition

    number before registration at the event centre.

    2. 賽事中心設於索罟灣遊樂場, 座標: 50Q KK 042 584 The event centre locates at Sok Kwu Wan Playground, GR: 50Q KK 042 584

    3. 賽員必須依照指定路線前往賽事中心,違者將會 被取消資格 Competitors must follow the designated route to the event centre, otherwise he/she will be disqualified

    4. 大會不設交通安排,賽員須自行前往賽事中心。 請參考以下途徑 : The organizer will provide no transportation.

    5. 賽事中心將顯示大會時間 The official time will be shown at the event centre.

    6. 賽事中心旁設有洗手間,請保持地方清潔。 Washrooms are available next to the event center. Please keep them clean.

    7. 除指定燒烤爐地點外嚴禁生火。 Participants cannot set fire other than designated barbecue stove.

    8. 會場將懸掛賽員編號,賽員須知和各組別賽程的控制點提示符號表等資料以供查閱。 Competitor bid no., competitor information and control descriptions tables will be posted at the Event Centre.

    9. 所有賽員抵達賽事中心後,請到指定位置領取號碼布及 SI 指卡。 Please visit the designated counter for getting the number bib and SI-card.

    10. 賽員必須使用大會提供之 SI 指卡。大會已為每位賽員編排指定的指卡。賽員自行轉換指卡會造成成績 無效,大會不會為此修正成績。

    Competitors must use the SI-card provided. Competitors swap SI-card will cause invalid result; the organizer will not amend the result because of this.

    11. 每隊(單人組或雙人組)只需一隻 SI 指卡。 Each team will need one SI-card only.

    12. 賽事中心將設有「清除」器及「檢查」器。 “CLEAR” unit and “CHECK” unit will be provided at the event centre.

    13. 賽事中心附近有小食亭。賽事中心不提供飲用水供應。 Food kiosk is available near the event center. We will not provide drinking water supply at Event Centre.

    14. 我們提倡環境保護,請自備號碼布的安全扣針,但我們會在會場放置少量安全扣針,以便需要的參加 者使用,但賽會不確保足夠數量給與所有參加者。我們將安排回收安全扣針。 We support environmental protection, please bring with your safety pins for the competitor bids. However we will prepare some safety pins at the Event Centre for those who need. We do not guarantee there are sufficient safety pins for every competitor. We will arrange recollection of used safety pin.

    15. 我們希望能清除所有因這次賽事的廢棄物,請保持賽事中心、廁所及賽區清潔, 並帶走所有垃圾。我們也將設置地圖和號碼布回收箱,如賽員不帶走地圖或號碼布,請放在回收箱內,不要扔在燒烤場 的垃圾箱內。 We need to clear all waste created by this event, please keep the Event Centre, toilets and Competition Area clean and bring away any waste produced. We will set up a used map and bib collection box, if participant do not want to bring away the map and bib, please put it into our collection box. Do not dump into rubbish bib at the barbecue site.

    大會建議賽員自備蚊怕水以防蚊叮。 Usage of mosquito repellent is recommended.

    行李寄存 Luggage Storage

    1. 賽會設行李存放區。行李存放區於賽事中心旁 A luggage storage area will be set up. The location is next to event centre

    2. 行李憑號碼布寄存。賽會鼓勵環保,敬請自備行李寄存牌及自行塡寫賽員編號,否則不接受寄 存。 Check in your luggage by presenting your number bib. OAHK encourages environmental protection. Please bring your luggage tag and mark it properly, otherwise your luggage will not be accepted.

    3. 每位賽員限寄存行李一件,賽會有權拒絕寄存貴重物品及過大行李 Each competitor shall only store one bag. No large/heavy baggage will be entertained.

    4. 賽會不會提供行李防水膠袋,請賽員注意自行負責做好行李防水保存。 No water-proof bags for luggage would be provided. Competitors should bring their own one if necessary

    5. 比賽完成後,請於 14:45 前憑賽員號碼布取回。任何遺留在行李存放區的物品將被丟棄。 Please redeem the luggage stored with the number bibs before 14:45. Any items left at luggage storage area will be disposed.

    6. 賽員須自行承擔風險。寄存的行李如有任何原因導致之損壞或遺失等,賽會概不負責,因此請 勿寄存貴重 物品。 Competitor shall take their own risk to store their baggage. In all circumstances the organizer and its officials will not be liable for any damage or lost of belongings storage.

    出發程序 Start Procedure

    1. 由賽事中心往出發區需時約 25分鐘 (1.5km)。賽員必須依照指定路線前往,違者將會被取消資格。路線方向將在現場沿前往起點路上張貼。 It takes about 25 minutes walk (1.5km) to the Start area. Competitors must follow the designated route to the Start area, or otherwise he/she will be disqualified. Route direction will be displayed along the route to the Start area.

    2. 出發區將於 11:15 開放。 Start area will be open at 11:15.

    3. 大會將根據「先到先出發」安排出發時間,每 30 秒供一批賽員出發。 The start sequence is on a first-come-first-serve basis, 30 seconds interval start is adopted.

    4. 每位賽員必須出示指南針、哨子、號碼布 及 SI 指卡(每隊只需一隻 SI 指卡),否則不得進入出發區。 Competitors must show their compass, whistle and SI-card (One per each team) before enter into the Start area.

    5. 進入出發區時號碼布必須清晰地展示在上身最前面,不得作任何覆蓋,否則不可以出發。 Competitors must have their bib clearly shown on the front without any coverings; otherwise, no start is allowed.

    6. 家庭組及團隊組須全隊到齊方可進入出發區。 FAMILY and TEAM class will be allowed to enter the start area only if the whole team is present.

    7. 進入出發區時,請把指卡放在「清除」器上,以清除過往的比賽紀錄。 Please remember to put your SI-card on the “CLEAR” unit before entering Start area.

    8. 再在「檢查」器上打咭確認指卡有效。 Then put the SI-Card on the “CHECK” unit to confirm the SI-

    card is functioning normally. 9. 出發區前及出發線將顯示大會時間。

    The Official Time will be displayed at the entrance to the Start area and Start line.

    10. 通過檢查裝備後,依照工作人員指示順序進入 2分區及 1 分區。 After passing checking, enter 2-minute and 1-minute zone according to officials’ instructions.

    11. 由於提倡環境保護,除啡、藍、綠組別外,比賽當天 2 分區將不會提供額外的提示符號紙。控 制點提示表將於賽事中心張貼,賽員如有需要,請自行抄寫。地圖上也印有控制點提示表。 For environmental friendly, we will not provide control description sheet at 2-minute zone except for class Brown, Blue and Green. Control Description tables for different courses will be listed in event centre, please copy it down if required. They are also printed on the map.

    12. 2分區不會提供任何用品給賽員固定提示符號紙。如需使用提示符號紙,請自備提示紙套。 We will not provide any materials to hold the control description sheet. If you want to use control description sheet, please bring your own holder.

    13. 1 分區不設閱讀地圖時間,最後一聲出發時間鐘響後才可看地圖。取用正確的地圖乃賽員責任,請

    檢查地圖是否屬於自己的組別。如取錯地圖而被取消資格,賽會概不負責。 Competitors cannot read their maps in the 1-minute zone, read map after final beep of start time.

    Please check if the map is correct according to your class. It is the responsibility of the competitors

    to ensure the map is correct. Any mistaken of the map will be disqualified.

    14. 家庭組及團隊組無論每隊人數多少,每隊提供 2 張地圖。 Only 2 maps will be provided to FAMILY and TEAM class.

    15. 聽到起點響鐘發出長響後方可把指卡放在「起點」器上,以登記出發紀錄。及後可閱讀地圖及離開出

    發區。 切勿在通道上停留。 Competitors should put your SI-card on “START” unit only when the start bell is alarmed. After that you can read the maps and start the course. Please leave the Start area immediately.

    16. 起點標誌 (即地圖起點) 距離出發區約 30 米。出發區在地圖上以圖例附號 702 表示。 Start marker (i.e. Map Start) is 30 meters from the start area. Start area will be over printed with map symbol 702.

    Result would be calculated based on the time punching the “START” unit.

    18. 出發區於 14:30 關閉,工作人員將於 14:30 安排所有已進入出發區但仍輪候出發的賽員集體出發。未能於 14:30 前抵達出發區的賽員,將不會獲安排岀發。為避免擠擁或最後未能出發,可預早到出發區, 爭取較早的時間出發。 Start area will close at 14:30. We will arrange mass start by 14:30 for competitors reported to the Start area. Competitors who cannot report to the Start area before 14:30 will not be entertained. It is suggested to arrive at the Start area earlier to avoid over-crowded or not able to start before Start area closes.

    終點程序及成績處理 Finish and Result Download

    1. 比賽限時為 120 分鐘,逾時者一律取消成績 (DISQ) The time limit is 120 minutes, late finish will be disqualified

    2. 未能於 14:30 完成賽事的賽員,必須立即停止比賽,返回終點報到。工作人員隨即開始賽區收回所有控制點. 14:30 後才返到終點的賽員,一律取消成績 (DISQ) 。 Competitors who could not complete their race before 14:30 must report to the Event Centre and stop their competition. The official will start collecting the control points immediately. Competitors who arrive the finish after 14:30 will be disqualified.

    3. 賽員越過終點時,必須把指卡放在「終點」計時器上,比賽亦同時中止。 Please place the SI-card on the “Finish” unit when reaching the finish line. Competitors will then be regarded as completion of the race and are not allowed to continue the race.

    4. 所有賽員必須越過終點才會被計算成績。 All competitors must cross the finish line when they finish their race.

    5. 賽員把指卡放在「終點」計時器後,沿指示前往成績處理區下載成績,並退還指卡,方可離開。 Please return the rental SI-card after finishing the competition and result downloading.

    6. 成績處理區設於賽事中心。由終點往賽事中心需時約 1 分鐘。路線方向將在現場沿前往賽事中心路上 張貼。 Result downloading area is located in the event centre. It takes about 1 minute walk to the event centre. Route direction will be displayed along the route to the event centre.

    7. 賽員在下載成績前,切勿把電子控制咭放置在任何「電子計時器」之上。 Please DO NOT place your SI-card on ANY SI-units before downloading the result.

    8. 地圖不會被收回。 Map will not be collected.

    9. 所有賽員必須於 15:00 前到成績處理站下載成績,未能下載成績之賽員將被取消資格(DISQ)。 All competitors must download their results before 15:00. Otherwise they will be disqualified.

    10. 租借的指卡乃香港定向總會財產,賽員在比賽期間有責任妥善保管。若有遺失或損毁,香港定向總會將收取該賽員賠償費用港幣$280 (不設找續)。 If the competitors fail to return the sound electronic control cards, the cards will be regarded as loss or damage items. OAHK will charge the corresponding competitors HKD$280 for compensation (No change provided).

    11. 各組成績將於比賽現場公佈,亦會在比賽日後在香港定向總會網頁 http://www.oahk.org.hk/ 內公佈。 Result will be announced at the event centre. Also, it will be published on the OAHK’s website: http://www.oahk.org.hk/ after the competition day.

    地圖及賽區資料 Map and Competition Area Information 1. 地圖 Map

    地圖將於起點 1 分區出發時派發。 Maps are issued at the start time in the 1-minute zone of the start area.

    本賽事為越野式定向,賽員必須順序到訪各指定 控制點。 This is a cross-country competition. Competitors must visit all designated controls in order.

    賽程路段的控制點將在地圖上從起點 連線

    至其他控制點 ,直至終點 。

    2. 比賽區域 (ISOM 2017) Competition Area (ISOM

    2017)

    賽區山勢陡峻及多石, 內有自然山徑及一些三合土的主要山徑, 有部分被濃密植柀阻擋而變得不明顯。

    賽區內設有水站一個。

    The terrain is hilly and rocky. Major paths are paved and the others are the natural paths with some are covered by thick undergrowth. There will be 11 water point.

    4. 控制點提示表 Control Description Sheet

    由於提倡環境保護,除啡、藍、綠組別外,比賽當天 2 分區將不會提供額外的提示符號紙。控 制點提示表將於賽事中心張貼,賽員如有需要,請自行抄寫。地圖上也印有控制點提示表。 For environmental friendly, we will not provide control description sheet at 2-minute zone except for class Brown, Blue and Green.     5. 水站 Water Station

    賽區內設有一個水站,並會在地圖上或提示表裡標示 ( )。賽會鼓勵環保和「郊野零膠樽」,支

    持環保賽事的理念。賽員請自帶水瓶在水站添加飲用水,水站不設用完即棄水杯。

    A water station is provided and is shown on the map or in description box ( ). OAHK encourages

    environmental protection and “No Plastic bottles in Country Park”. Competitors should bring with

    their own water bottles to replenish at water station. No disposable water cup will be provided.

    6. 大會建議賽員自備蚊怕水以防蚊叮。 Usage of mosquito repellent is recommended.

    7. 特別提醒: 雖然賽區內被颱風吹斷的倒樹大部份已經清理,但仍有部份

    倒樹擱置路旁。請特別留心路面、路旁和架空的斷枝,以及有可能未完全修復的坍方小徑。

    Special reminder: Although the competition area has been cleaned up, please pay full attention to the toppled trees left aside, potentially dangerous branches and the paths which might not have been fully repaired from the landslide.

    比賽規則 Rules

    1. 本賽事按香港定向總會「定向比賽則例」進行。 “Orienteering Competition By-laws” of the Orienteering Association of Hong Kong applies to this competition.

    2. 為各位安全起見,嚴禁代跑。如被發現,雙方之全年成績均會被取消。 Substitute participation is prohibited. Results of both parties in OAHK events for the whole season would be cancelled.

    3. 賽事進行中,賽員不得騷擾其他賽員。 During the competition, do not interrupt other competitors.

    4. 請尊重其他賽員及公眾人士的安全和權利,賽會及賽員均沒有優先使用權,請小心避免碰撞其他人士。 如有碰撞行人情況的報告,相關賽員可被取消資格。 Competitors should respect the safety and rights of other competitors or public. No competitors will

    have priority in access. If report of incident of clashing with public is received, the respective

    competitor may be disqualified.

    5. 除賽會提供的地圖及本賽員須知所提及的裝備外,賽員不可使用其他輔助工具(包括手提電話、對講機等通訊器材) 。 No other maps or aids (including mobile phones) other than those provided or mentioned by the organizer may be used.

    6. 這次比賽容許使用不帶有顯示地圖,座標,路徑或可以輔助比賽的 GPS 手錶,而其 GPS 功能的使用只是用作記錄的。其餘帶有 GPS 功能的器材不可在比賽途中攜帶。 This competition allows using GPS watch that does not display map, coordinates, route or using it to assist in the competition, and the use of GPS function is for recording only. Other equipment with GPS function is not allowed to be brought with during the competition.

    7. 賽員之間不得交換指卡使用,亦不得提供有關技術上的指示 (包括問路、查問所在位置等)。否則雙方賽員均被取消參賽資格及成績(DISQ)。 Exchange of SI-cards with other competitors or substituting other competitors are not allowed, otherwise both will face disqualification. Also, communication between different competitors are prohibited.

    8. 完成比賽的賽員,於賽事結束前,不得重返賽區。 After finishing the race, participants shall not enter the competition arena.

    10. 如賽員違反比賽規則,將被取消參賽資格及成績(DISQ)。 Competitors will be disqualified (DISQ) if they violate the competition rules.

    電子打孔及計時系統 Electronic Punching and Timing System

    1. 本賽事各組別均使用 SPORTident 電子打咭及計時系統。 All courses shall use the SPORTIdent Punching and Timing System.

    2. 如賽員在到達控制點時發現「點簽器」沒有正確閲讀訊號(響聲和閃燈),賽員應利用掛在控制點上的機械打孔器在地圖上的後備打孔位置 [R] 空格内打孔,以證明已到訪該控制點。賽員應在返回終點後,下載成績時向成績處理處工作人員説明。否則將當作沒有打咭。地圖上提供三個 [R] 備用打咭空格。 If participants find that the “Control Unit” does not read the information in the control card properly (a beep and a flash), participants should make use of the mechanical hole punching clip to punch on the reserve block (blank space) marked “R” in the map. This is to proof that you have reached the checkpoint. Participants should then report this to the staff when downloading the data from the control card at the Finish Point or else you will be seen as not reaching that checkpoint. There are totally 3 such reserve block (blank spaces) on the map.

    比賽成績將依據電子控制咭上的數據記錄計算,如電子控制咭未能記錄賽員曾到訪某個控制點,大會將依據賽員在地圖上的後備打孔位置 [R] 格内打孔針孔記錄。若這兩項都無法證明賽員曾到訪該控制點,該控制點記錄將視作無效。針孔必須打在方格內方屬有效。 Your results will be calculated according to the data recorded in the electronic control card. If the card cannot function properly, the holes punched on the blank space in the map will be a proof of the participant reaching the checkpoint(s). Participants without either of these will be seen as not reaching the checkpoint(s). The punch pin marks shall be inside the R reserve block.

    3. 請注意 ! 是次賽事並非使用 SIAC(非接觸式指卡),並沒有隔空打卡功能。賽員請把指咭放在點 簽器圓圈位置上以完成打卡,有嗶聲和紅燈閃亮確認。 Attention ! SIAC (contactless timing) is NOT used in this event. Please place your SI Chip on circular area to record your time. Successful punching is confirmed by a beep sound and red lamp lit

    4. 租借的指卡乃香港定向總會財產,賽員在比賽期間有責任妥善保管。若有遺失或損毁,香港定向總會將收取該賽員賠償費用港幣$280 (不設找續)。 If the competitors fail to return the sound electronic control cards, the cards will be regarded as loss or damage items. OAHK will charge the corresponding competitors HKD$280 for compensation (No change provided).

    5. 電子控制卡內記錄了賽員到訪每個控制點的時間及次序,若比賽過程中誤打控制點,可依以下程 序 繼續賽事: The electronic card records the time and sequence of the controls visited. If wrong controls are punched, please continue the competition in the following method:

    次序錯誤:由未出錯前應打的控制點開始,重新依正確次序打孔 Wrong sequence: Re-punch all controls in correct sequence starting from the correct control

    例子一 : 賽員由 2 號控制點前往 3 號控制點時,誤打 4 號控制點, 須返回 3 號控制點繼續順序到訪餘下 賽程。如下圖: Example 1: Competitor wrongly punched Control No.4 when going from No.2 to No.3. He should go back to No.3 and continue the race in sequence. See below:

    錯打其他控制點:不用理會,只須繼續依正確次序打孔 Wrong punching control not in your course: Ignore the wrong control. Continue the punching in correct sequence

    例子二 : 賽員由 2 號控制點前往 3 號控制點途中,誤打非賽程指定的控制點(X),賽員可繼續順序到訪 餘下賽程。如下圖: Example 2: Competitor wrongly punched Control x when going from No.2 to No.3. He should ignore the wrongly punched control and continue the race in sequence. See below:

    投訴及抗議 Complaints and Protests

    1. 賽員如對比賽成績或賽事有投訴或異議,須於完成賽程或成績公佈後 10 分鐘內,以書面向賽會提出,並請留下聯絡電話號碼。倘超出這個時限,大會將不受理任何投訴。有關投訴將由賽會處理,裁決結 果將立即通知提出投訴的賽員。 Any complaint shall be made orally or in writing to the organizer as soon as possible. A complaint relating to a competitor’s result shall be made within 10 minutes after the promulgation of the result. A complaint is adjudicated by the organizer. The complainant shall be informed about the decision immediately.

    2. 提出投訴的賽員若對賽會的裁決有異議,可提出抗議。抗議必須於 15 分鐘內以書面向賽會提出。倘 超出這個時限,大會將不受理任何抗議。 A protest can be made against the organizer’s decision about a complaint. Any protest shall be made in writing to the organizer as soon as possible and within 15 minutes of the organizer’s decision about a complaint.

    3. 抗議的投訴將由裁判團作出商議裁決。大會已邀請 3 位賽員擔任裁判團成員。如投訴人為裁判團成員 之一,大會將即時現場委任另一賽員擔任。裁判團議決後,裁判團的判決為最終決定。 Deliberation of verdict will be done by the Jury Panel. The Jury Panel reserves the final decision. The organizer has invited 3 competitors as Jury Panel Member. If the complainant is a member of the jury, the organizer will appoint another competitor as substitution. The ruling of the Jury Panel is final.

    定向新手小貼士 Orienteering beginners tips

    賽前準備 Preparation

    1. 充足睡眠!保持頭腦清晰最緊要! Sufficient sleep!

    2. 飲食得宜,多飲水讓身體儲存足夠水分。 Have a balanced diet. Drink water often to facilitate your body storage.

    服裝 Clothing

    1. 衣服以輕便為主,切忌牛仔褲! Prefer light clothing. No jeans!

    2. 建議穿著運動鞋,跑步鞋更佳。 Running shoes are recommended.

    3. 帶備手錶,以免比賽超時。 Bring a watch to avoid overtime.

    4. 帶備替換衣物。 Bring extra clothing for changing.

    出發前 Before Start

    1. 留意大會時間,預留約 10分鐘做熱身運動。 Mind the official time, reserve about 10 mins for warm-up and stretching.

    2. 留意大會設置,如終點及成績下載處的位置。 Mind the official setting such as the Finish & Results downloading counter.

    3. 提前 10分鐘到起點準備。 Arrive the Start area 10 mins earlier.

    比賽時 After Start

    1. 出發後不要人跑你又跑,先在地圖上找出自己的位置。 After start, locate yourself with the map instead of following others blindly.

    2. 然後自己為每個控制點計劃最適合自己的路線到訪各個控制點,多利用大型地徵定位。 Plan your own route choices to visit control points and use distinct feature for locating yourself.

    3. 到達每個控制點必須檢查提示符號欄的編號是否與該控制點編號相符,方可拍卡。 Check the code number before punching the control unit.

    4. 定向運動最考驗獨立思考,不要盲目跟隨別人。 Don’t blindly follow others. Orienteering requires self decision making.

    5. 留意時限,以及為終點。 Mind the time limit, shown on the map represents finish.

    6. 如發生意外而需救援,可在一分鐘內 ,用哨子連續發出 6次長訊號,停頓一分鐘後,重複同樣訊號, 不要中斷直至有救援人員到達為止。 In case of emergency, send out six long blasts within one minute; pause for one minute and repeat the same. Don't stop until the rescue team comes.

    比賽後 After the competition

    1. 到達終點後,第一時間到成績處理下載成績,借用指卡便緊記還卡。 When arriving the finish, go to the result downloading counter. Remember to return your electronic card.

    2. 比賽完畢,盡快為身體補充水分。 Drink water to replenish body fluid.

    3. 用大約 10分鐘做伸展動作,可減少運動後肌肉疲勞。 Do stretching for 10 minutes for easing muscle fatigue.

    4. 與其他參加者分享路線,進步從檢討開始。 Share your route choices by discussing with other competitors. Improvement will be gained from evaluation and learning from each other.

    5. 換返套乾爽衫,睇埋頒獎。作為賽員最緊要是互相鼓勵和支持! Stay for the prize giving ceremony! Your cheers and supports are essential to the awardees!
