THE FIELDS
The Ripken Experience – Myrtle Beach consists
of 9 fields; 4, 90 foot diamonds and 5 youth
baseball/softball fields. Each field is designed
symmetrically after a legendary professional
ballpark – Polo Grounds, Ebbets Field, Griffith
Field, Crosley Field and more. At each field
a large sign explains that field’s historical
significance to the game and gives each visitor
a brief history lesson.
At The Ripken Experience - Myrtle Beach, each
baseball field features a popular synthetic
playing surface used by many professional and
collegiate teams worldwide. Consistent play,
elimination of rain outs and the reduction
of the risk for injuries, are among the many
benefits of this synthetic playing surface.
Each diamond is equipped with lights for
night games. The fields have covered dugouts,
professional quality bullpen mounds adjacent
to the field, water and Gatorade products are
provided in the dugouts during all games.
Digital scoreboards are utilized on each 90-foot
diamond.

The Ripken Experience features a large Food Court and Retail shop at the main entrance to the complex. The food court features the Big League Grill for drinks, snacks and hot meals. Additionally, the Shortstop Sub Shop offers a variety of cold subs and salads. The Retail Shop offers a wide variety of Under Armour apparel, novelties and souvenir for players, coaches and spectators to enjoy. The entire building is air conditioned, includes large-screen televisions featuring MLB.TV and contains Wi-Fi for customers to relax and enjoy the ballpark atmosphere.

ACCOMMODATIONS
The Ripken Experience has teamed up
with Beach Vacations to provide lodging for
Summer Collegiate Players and Coaches. At
River Oaks Resort, located adjacent to River
Oaks Golf Plantation and the prestigious World
Tour Golf Links, players and coaches are treated
to fantastic golf course views from private
balconies in every vacation condo. Convenience
is never an issue during a stay at River Oaks
Resort, with all vacation condos featuring
modern amenities like multiple TV’s, full-service
kitchens and washer / dryer combinations.
Players and Coaches will stay in fully furnished
2 bedroom/2 bathroom units (each bedroom
has 2 beds).

Myrtle Beach International Airport is located approx. 3 miles south of the complex. Direct Air, Spirit, Air
Tran, Continental, Delta, Northwest, and US Airways fly into Myrtle Beach International Airport.

The Ripken Experience - Myrtle Beach is located near the intersection of U.S. Highway 17 Bypass & 10th
Avenue North, near Myrtle Waves Water Park and is visible from U.S. Highway 17 Bypass. Below are
directions from the closest Interstate highway accesses:
From I-20 E
Take I-20 E to I-95 N (8 miles); take SC exit #181 to Myrtle Beach, SC. Turn left on SC-38 E to Myrtle
Beach, SC (7.3 miles); Turn right on US-501 S to Myrtle Beach, SC. (54.4 miles); once in Myrtle Beach take
U.S. Highway 17 Bypass toward North Myrtle Beach, turn left at 1st stop light (10th Avenue North Mr. Joe
White Avenue); turn left onto Ripken Way Blvd. and the complex will be on your right.
From I-95 S
Take SC exit #170 to Myrtle Beach SC. Turn left on U.S. Highway 76 (to Myrtle Beach, SC); U.S. Highway
76 becomes U.S. Highway 576 & becomes U.S. Highway 501 (to Myrtle Beach); once in Myrtle Beach take
U.S. Highway 17 Bypass toward North Myrtle Beach, turn left at 1st stop light (10th Avenue North/Mr. Joe
White Avenue); turn left onto Ripken Way Blvd. and the complex will be on your right.
From I-95 N
