DPI Modernization Project

• RFP Expected April 2018

• Cash Management Integration between LEAs and NCDPI

• Automated daily requests from LEAs – Vendor’s to automate the request.

• Vendor’s to track available federal allotment balance to stop the request

for funds they do not have.



• Human Resource (HR), Payroll, and Budget Integration are required

• More efficient interface with eScholar Uniq-ID® for Staff.

• New position control reporting that includes certified and non-certified

positions that can be shared with NCDPI.

• New Position Control information is required as part of UERS.



• LEAs Payroll Integration with NCDPI Salary

Administration System

• Includes Payroll checks as well as Payroll adjustments

• Move to a daily interface with vendor Payroll packages

• Licensure integration with LEA HR package.


BUD is Gone…

• LINQ BUD Replacement Complete

• All Payroll & General Expense 202’s are done within LINQ

• Fund Management – REF, PYR, TDR, PYT, PEN (No more UTR)

• Payroll – UTR, REF, PYR, IPC

• Few issues to finish up:

• FM – Validate Site against valid NC Sites

• FM – Allow Revenue Code for Fund 8 also

• PR – REF, Allow % Employed & Days Paid to be Modified


DPI End of Month Reports

• Reports will be posted to eMFTS

• You will access them through LINQ• LINQ will open and convert them to pdf files and store in the

Document Cabinet


LINQ & Licensure Access

• DPI has created a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for us

• They will begin posting Licensure Data to our eMFTS Directory

• LINQ will update each LEA daily with your Staff’s Changes

• Expected in April Release


AS/400 Expectations

• AS/400 Requirement is done!

• BUD, Licensure and End of Month Reports

were the last remaining elements

• All areas addressed by the April Release


AS/400 Expectations

• DPI has stated that an LEA can turn off their 400 at anytime now.

• Before you do, please consider:

• Are there any other applications you have purchased or developed running

on your 400?

• Are you still using HRMS or the data?

• Are you still looking up data in old libraries?


Old 400 Data?

• What about your old Libraries?

• We created an archive utility to migrate them to

your Windows server.

• Converts the needed data from the libraries to a

SQL Database on your server.

• Automatic lockout will now be an option, like in TK.

Cloud Based Version 7

• Version 7 will be rolled out in phases

• Will be a Cloud Based Application

• Will focus on all Non-Central Office Applications First

• Manage Accounts, Vendors, Requisitions/Purchase Orders, Input Hours, Absences, Manage Timesheets, CEU Tracking, Professional Development etc.

• Focus is to remove all application dependency from the local computer. Only a browser required.
