on Premier, camera-based Low Speed Forward

Automatic Braking can help mitigate front-end

collisions with detected vehicles at speeds below

37 mph. It does this by applying the brakes if the driver

has not already done so to reduce the collision’s

severity. The system may even help avoid a collision

at very low speeds.

FORWARD COLLISION ALERT. This available feature

helps identify vehicles ahead and warns the driver of

possible front-end collision threats, helping to provide

you time to stop and/or change course. If the system

determines that a front-end collision with a detected

vehicle is imminent, it alerts the driver to a potential

crash. It also warns the driver if their Equinox is

following a detected vehicle much too closely.

LANE KEEP ASSIST WITH LANE DEPARTURE WARNING.

At speeds above 37 mph, this available camera-based

system monitors road lines and will gently turn the

steering wheel if the vehicle begins changing lanes

without the use of a turn signal.

AVAILABLE LANE CHANGE ALERT WITH SIDE BLINDZONE ALERT. Radar sensors in the rear corners of the

vehicle help detect fast-approaching vehicles in the

adjacent lanes as well as vehicles in the side mirror

blind zones. Amber icons in the exterior mirrors

REAR CROSS TRAFFIC ALERT. Using the same radar

sensors as Lane Change Alert, this available feature

alerts you to crossing traffic behind your Equinox
