WELCOME

Welcome to the 2018 Badger State AAU Super Regional hosted by Milwaukee Sting Volleyball Club!

We are looking forward to a great 2 days of competition and hope that you will find the event, facility, and accommodations more than satisfactory. Please understand that careful consideration went into scheduling the event to allow for maximum participation (6 match minimum). Thank you to all the clubs, coaches, players, parents, and college coaches for supporting and making this a great event.

• Check in will be open from 8:00am – 9:30am at the main entrance as you enter the gym. • You will need to submit a current and signed AES roster. • Please have your medical waivers on hand. • Credentials will be given to Coaches ONLY.

ADMISSIONS

• Admission will be $6 per person per day or $10 for a weekend pass. • Children age 10 and under are FREE. • Gym-Doors and Admission desk will open at 8:00am • No player will be allowed to enter without being in uniform.

SCHEDULE

• Please be aware of work assignments. R1s will be provided , work team will need to provide line judges, R2 and score table. Round 2 is pools of 5 where teams are working two courts.

AWARDS

• Tournament trophy and medals for 1st place team. • Medals for 2nd place team. • 1st place team will receive AAU Jr Championships entry fee reimbursement from AAU.

TOURNAMENT & FACILITY RULES

• NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINK No outside food or drink permitted at the MSC and NO COOLERS. Please pass this along to your parents. COACHES and PLAYERS are not allowed to have

any food on the bench. Teams will be penalized with loss of points if players, coaches or spectators

. Our concessions provide with a variety of options for everyone. are caught breaking this rule

• FOLD UP CHAIRS are allowed behind the courts for this event. There is ON CONCRETE ONLY bleacher seating provided at every court.

• ATHLETIC TRAINER will be on site for the tournament. Please bring your own taping needs or tape is available for purchase.

• SPECTATORS and FAMILIES are asked to stay off the open courts during the tournament. The extra courts are open for teams warm-up time.

• TEAM BAGS are not allowed in the bench area, the concessions area or the downstairs area of the

gym. . Please keep team bags UPSTAIRS in your team’s designated area• NO BALL PLAY setting, passing, serving, spiking is allowed against the walls inside the gym. • WARM-UP VOLLEYBALLS are not provided by the tournament. Please bring your volleyballs and

ball carts. • NO SMOKING inside the MSC or within 100ft of the main entrance of the MSC. The MSC is a

smoke-free facility. • Teams choosing to tailgate outside are asked to clean up their garbage. Please bring trash bags

to dispose garbage in.

TOURNAMENT RULES & TIEBREAKERS

• The tournament will be conducted under AAU/JVA rules. Coaches are allowed to designate two liberos. They can be switched after each set. The Libero is allowed to serve.

• 2nd & 3rd place teams from Pools AA, BB and CC on Saturday will have 9am reffing assignments before their 10am playoff match on Sunday.

TIEBREAKERS

• THREE WAY TIES (Rounds 1): There will be NO Play-offs after round 1. The results will be determined as follows:

1. Game percentage (if still tied) 2. Pool Point Differential (if still tied) 3. Coin Flip

• TWO WAY TIE (Round 1): There will be a NO Play-offs after round 1. The results will be

determined as follows: 1. Game percentage (if still tied) 2. Pool Point Differential (if still tied) 3. Coin Flip

• THREE WAY TIES (Round 2): There will be a one set playoff to 15 points for Pools AA, BB and CC

ONLY if it affects the team’s advancement to the GOLD. If it does not affect advancement to the GOLD the results will be determined as follows:

1. Game percentage (if still tied) 2. Pool Point Differential (if still tied) 3. Coin Flip

• PENALTY FOR MISSED TIEBREAKER SETS It is the responsibility of a team’s coach to know if there

is a potential tie in pool play. Teams must be present at courtside for tie breaker sets. They will begin as soon as the last pool match is finished. We will not delay the start of tiebreaker sets to locate a team or any of its members, or provide time for a team to return to the court. Not being at courtside will result in a forfeit. If a team is not present to PLAY or REF the play-off match. They automatically drop to LAST amongst the teams participating in the play-off.
