Marshall County Fiscal Court will be accepting sealed bids on the items listed below until 4:00PM on May 14, 2018. Bid specifics and forms can be obtained from the Judge/Executive’s Office. All bids must be submitted to the Marshall County Judge/Executive’s office in a sealed envelope, Marshall County Courthouse, 1101 Main Street, Benton, KY 42025. Bid awards will be announced at the Marshall County Fiscal Court Meeting on May 15, 2018 at 9:30AM. The Marshall County Fiscal Court reserves the right to reject any and all bids.

Bid Instructions for Gasoline & Diesel Fuel

Specifications

Bids shall be submitted on the basis of the lowest mark-up per gallon for delivery of gasoline and diesel fuel and all applicable taxes included. Bid prices quoted for products as listed in this bid invitation shall remain firm from July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019. The successful bidder must provide written verification of their current wholesale price for fuel. The mark-up from distributor will remain constant for the fuel term of the contract.

The Marshall County Fiscal Court reserves the right to reject any/all bids. Please write the date of when you submitted the bid and the item you are bidding on on the outside of the envelope.

Further, the successful bidder must supply gasoline and diesel fuel during all weather emergencies and proof they can supply. If the successful bidder cannot supply during these critical times, the Marshall County Fiscal Court reserves the right to cancel the contract and contract with the other bidder for the supply of such items. No exceptions will be made. The Marshall County Fiscal Court will require written proof of ability to supply during weather emergencies. (If this clause cannot be met then the county has the right to except a higher bid for these items.)

The successful bidder must have the rack price receipt with each invoice when the gasoline or diesel fuel is billed.

Purchasers of diesel fuel for use by the County may be assured of receiving quality fuel designed for truck diesel engine application.

Blends:The Marshall County Fiscal Court should purchase fuel at the time of the year when the ambient temperature averages 20 degrees or less. Blends are designed to reduce the problem of diesel fuel gel.
