We are Cal Poly Pomona’s Concrete Canoe Team and our goal is to design and construct the best concrete canoe competing at the annual Pacific Southwest Conference (PSWC). The conference’s canoe competition is judged on four categories: Final Product, Design Paper, Technical Presentation, and Paddling. Furthermore, a top two performance at PSWC will allow us to compete at the National Concrete Canoe Competition, as we have done in the past. Our successes in the last ten years including placing within the top ten at PSWC nine times and competing at nationals five times. This past year featured another top ten finish at PSWC with our canoe El Dorado, coming in at sixth place overall. OUR STORY CONCRETE CANOE CAL POLY POMONA Since we are a non-profit student organization, your donation will benefit us in many ways. Your support will allow us to obtain the needed mix and construction materials, tools, and allow us to experiment with our design to produce the best canoe that we possibly can. The provided chart demonstrates the breakdown of our budget and we hope you will consider donating to our program as we push to build upon our past experiences and continue striving to maintain our history of success, including a return to nationals!
