Buckie Regeneration Group have allocated £20,000 of Participatory Budgeting funds for Buckie and want to put YOU in control of how it’s spent

The ‘Bucks4Buckie’ initiative lets the local community decide for themselves which projects are needed in the area

What can you apply for:

Projects that will:

Deliver economic benefit to the Buckie area and,

Support the local economy through new or additional services/facilities

Help to make Buckie a better place for everyone

Some examples:

Promote tourism

Start up a community café

Develop a Heritage Project

Stage an event that encourages visitors to the area

A project that utilises local trades

Debt advice project

Your imagination has no limit!

What you can’t apply for is:

ongoing running costs such as salaries, heating and lighting, rent, maintenance, repairs etc

Who can apply?

Informal groups* or voluntary or community organisations (i.e. registered charity; constituted group or club; not-for-profit company or Community Interest Company; social enterprise) based in Buckie can apply for funding from £200 to £2000 to put your ideas into action (only one application per group)

All activities will have to happen in the Buckie area and must benefit the local economy

How do you apply?

To apply for funding a fully completed application must be received before 5pm on Wednesday 31st January 2018

It is recommended you have the necessary permissions and/or consents in place prior to making an application.

Your project must be completed and all the money spent by the end of the project date which you have specified in Q.21 of this form.

Applications that best meet the criteria will be invited to make a two minute presentation at an event open to the public. This will held on 10th March 2018

All those aged 14 plus attending the event will be eligible to vote on the applications

* Informal Groups do not need to have a constitution or a bank account but will require the support of a constituted group or organization prepared to accept monies on your behalf

17. Please provide a detailed breakdown of how the money will be spent i.e. an itemised list with expenditure against each item (proof of spend will be required, so receipts must be kept)

19. If they cannot be applied to this project, please explain why

This may be extended in exceptional circumstances only.
