Dear Parents and Community members,

Anaphylaxis

Anaphylaxis is a severe, rapidly progressive

threatening. The most common allergens in

school aged children are peanuts, eggs, tree

nuts (e.g. cashews), cow’s milk, fish and

shellfish, wheat, soy, sesame and certain

Two preventave strategies that we

Class Placement 2018

Teaching Sustainability Through Art

Earlier this year the whole school made large

red poppies for ANZAC day. We used two full

reams of red paper. Unfortunately, almost

one ream became scrap paper as the petals

were large and didn’t fill the page. This week

the students have recycled that “waste”

paper to create their own handmade paper.

the truth, but in such a

way that no one is

offended. It is knowing

when to say something

and when it is beJer to

be silent. When you are

carefully. You don't say

things that will make

Christmas Hampers Another wonderful community-minded tradition we have at M.P.P.S. is the collection of food hampers in the lead up to Christmas. The hampers will be presented at our Carols Assembly in week 9, and will be a blessing to those who are struggling around our city at Christmas time. If you would like to donate, there will be a box in each classroom where items can be placed. Non-perishable food items, festive Christmas food, decorations and gifts would be very much appreciated. Thank you for your kind support. NEXT CAKE STALL - Thursday 9th November. A variety of delicious goodies will be for sale at lunchtime. Prices usually range from 50c to $2. Funds raised support our MPPS 5 Cents Challenge - supporting education projects amongst poor communities around the world.

Congratulations to the following students who received Honour Certificates for Week 3:
