Who are we?The Canada Green Building Council® – Atlantic Chapter is the region’s leading authority on green building best practices. With a network of almost 350 green building professionals, we are your premier source of education, training, leading-edge green building information and resources. What do we do?

We connect people.The Atlantic Chapter hosts events that bring together building leaders, professionals and supporters involved in designing, building and operating buildings, homes and communities. These are the decision makers, the innovators and the next generation of the green building industry.

We facilitate learning.We are the leading provider of LEED education and green building workshops in Atlantic Canada. In 2016 the Chapter delivered over 20 educational programs, including conferences, workshops, Lunch & Learns, webinars and tours, training hundreds of green building professionals.

We drive change.We work with both government and private enterprise to accelerate the adoption of green building principles, policies, standards and tools.

2017 Sponsorship Opportunities

Overall Atlantic Chapter SponsorshipGeneral support for the Chapter is used to develop and execute new events, building tours and workshops to serve our members. Some general initiatives in 2017 include: a local green building awards program, advocacy meetings with government stakeholders, green building information sharing with our development communities, professional development events for our Emerging Green Builders (EGB) network, and outreach events in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland & Labrador, and Prince Edward Island.

BuildGreen Atlantic is our signature conference and trade show. Attracting green building professionals, the event includes pre-conference workshops as well as a keynote speaker and chapter education sessions and industry tradeshow. BuildGreen Atlantic conferences will be held in St. John’s, NL in the Spring of 2017 and in Halifax, NS in the fall of 2017.

Lunch & LearnsThere are twelve monthly L&L opportunities in 2017. The format is a face-to-face traditional L&L in Halifax on the second Monday of each month at a downtown Halifax location, followed by a webinar version of the same presentation the following week. Face-to-face options in NB, NL or PEI will also be considered.
