OUR MISSION STATEMENT AND PURPOSE
To provide an opportunity for women to meet regularly in order to build their businesses through
networking and to foster the development of women in the community through social networking
and scholarship opportunities. We shall provide social and educational meetings, which will focus
on business opportunities and development for women.
President’s Message
Thanks to all you ladies who made our February meeting so great! We had a great turn out of members and a few guests. Don’t forget there is a prize for whoever brings the most guests each quarter! Please invite your professional associates and anyone interested in networking with our group. Thanks to Karen McLaughlin for helping us find our DISC per-sonality. It was a great exercise. If you weren’t at the meeting, you will have to ask someone to tell you about it! It was very in-teresting! I hope you are all working hard to sell your raffle tickets for our Scholarship program. If you have not gotten your tickets, please contact Tammy Hammond or Laura Jennings about getting your allotment! May will be here before we know it and we need to sell lots of tickets before the Expo. Be sure to get your table for the Expo from Claudia Puccinelli. Applications are on the website. I’m looking forward to seeing all of you at Mountain Springs for the March meeting. It’s going to be a great round table discus-sion which is always enlightening. Bring your best business ideas for vision statements, elevator speeches, marketing ideas, etc. We will be helping each other make our businesses more successful. Hoping everyone survives our wet warm winter! Please invite guests, talk about our group, and do business with the members of our group whenever possible!
Wishing you a successful March -
Becky Selbee

Hi, I am Claudia Day and a “Wellness Warrior” with doTERRA Essential Oils. I was introduced to these particular oils by my daughter, Aimee, calling one day to ask if I’d ever experienced essential oils. I lightly scoffed and said “Indeed! Most of my life!” to which she promptly said “but not THESE oils!”. Being the dutiful mother, I said I’ll try them. That was all it took…I instantly knew these oils were much higher quality and therapeutic value than any EO I had experienced.
I became immediately impassioned with what these delightfully fragrant oils did in my life. I never intended to do this as a business until learning about the difference in quality of EOs and researching what doTERRA as a company does world-wide: I was hooked.
I’ll soon retire from a job after 17+ years to pur-sue this craving full-time to share the amazing properties of these oils. I do not “sell oils”. My dream is to share and empower others to get these oils into their lives so they too can be a healer in their own home.
As one of the original founding members of TCWN I am thrilled to once again be part of such a terrific organization!

Hi! I’m Nicole Kikugawa and was born and raised here in
beautiful Tuolumne County. I am a fully licensed Finan-
cial Advisor with Zuk Financial Group, providing Finan-
cial Planning and Insurance Services to clients for over 10
years. I represent a range of mutual funds, stocks, bonds,
annuities, and insurance related products. I specialize in
retirement planning and love to see my clients enjoy a ful-
filling and financially stable retirement.
I graduated from the Business College at San Diego State University, where I majored in
Marketing. I have a reputation for building and maintaining long-term relationships and
strongly believe the key to a successful client relationship is built through a mutual trust
and consistent communication. I enjoy getting to know my clients, listening to their indi-
vidual financial needs and developing a personalized plan to meet their goals. I love what I
do and feel blessed to be such an important person in so many people’s lives.
My husband and I moved back to Tuolumne County in 2008 when we bought the historic Sylva farmhouse (built in 1904). We now realize the ambitious undertaking we’ve embarked on and look forward to the day when it’s finally finished! Our 5-year-old daughter, Jemma, is our pride and joy! She keeps us young while making us old at the same time……. My other passions are dance/Ballet & traveling. I trained with the Jof-frey Ballet School in New York City, and now teach dance with the Tuo-lumne County Arts Alliance. As a family, we like to stay active and en-joy skiing, golfing, backpacking, camping and of course traveling! I am happy to be on the TCWN
board again this year and look for-ward to being a positive part of the
Women’s Network and community
for many years to come!

Susan Zuniga
Tuolumne County Women’s
Network Scholarship Recipient
I graduated high school in 1990. I heard about this
scholarship opportunity from both Rebecca Burton
and Karen Luckhardt. I currently work as a paramedic
for Tuolumne County Ambulance (1996 –present) and as a registered nurse at Doctor’s Medical Cen-
ter in the Emergency Department. I have been accepted into the Master of Science in Nursing –
Family Nurse Practitioner Program at Samuel Merritt University. It is a 20 month program. I have
included my goal statement to this university as it best describes my commitment to healthcare and
the underserved populations in Tuolumne County.
For over a quarter century, I have devoted myself to providing emergency medical care to
the sick and injured throughout the Central Valley. This experience has exposed me to a va-
riety of healthcare systems. I began my career as an Emergency Room Technician, assisting
the nurses and doctors who inspired me to pursue personal and professional development
through continuing education opportunities and new career challenges. I have worked as an
Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and Paramedic with Tuolumne County Ambulance. I
then transitioned to a flight paramedic role, specializing in critical care patients. With the
start of my family in 2010, I sought the less dangerous, though no less daunting, challenge of
Emergency Department nursing. All of these roles have given me a unique understanding of
the diverse needs of the patient population within my community and the deficiencies in pri-
mary care.
On a personal note, I am married with two adorable girls ages two and six. My husband and I own a ranch, here in Sonora, where we have a commercial vineyard, raise beef and chickens. In addition to our farming responsibilities both of us work full time. I will to continue to work during school as it is the only way for us to make ends meet. Tuition alone for this program is $75,000. I would appreciate any tuition assistance the Tuolumne County Woman’s Network is willing to provide.
Sincerely,
Susan Zuniga
