WELCOME
Welcome to the Sanford Center!
The mission of the Sanford Center is to enhance the quality of life for the citizens of the region by pro-viding a gathering place for cultural, recreational, educational and community events .
On any single night, the Sanford Center is more than just an arena…it is home for live family-orientedentertainment, first class catered banquets and receptions and hospitable meetings and conventions . We consistently anticipate customer needs and exceed their expectations by implementing top quality, “four star” professional customer service programs . These efforts are designed to establish confidence and brand recognition in the facility and with our many staff members . This encourages repeat business and fosters new client relationships and patrons to serve .
The Sanford Center broke ground in April of 2009 and officially opened doors in October of 2010 . Our building is the home of the Men’s and Women’s Division I Bemidji State University Beaver Hockey teams . Located next to the arena you will find the George W . Neilson Convention Center and attached Country Inn & Suites and J .J . Dockside restaurant . Since our opening in October of 2010, the Sanford Center has hosted an array of events, including concerts of all genres, family shows, ice shows, motor sports, and trade shows . In addition, the Sanford Center has hosted local college and high school graduation ceremonies, state sporting tournaments, as well as a variety of private meetings and wedding receptions . The Sanford Center arena continually brings a variety of exciting events to Bemidji and the larger North-ern MN area . We truly strive to make the Sanford Center not only a premier Hockey Arena and enter-tainment facility, but a facility that can be enjoyed by all ages .
Bemidji is located in the state of Minnesota . It is the first City located after the source of the Mississippi River, located on two major U .S . Highways – 71 North & South and 2 East & West . The Laurentian Con-tinental Divide (Northern Divide) is located north of the City . The many lakes in the Bemidji area are a great attraction for year round fishing and activities from Dragon Boat races in summer to sled dog events in winter .
While visiting the Sanford Center, we hope you enjoy the Bemidji area and all it has to offer . For those making decisions on upcoming dates and events, we hope you give us a try . ABOUT US:
ABOUT BEMIDJI, MNBemidji Minnesota, where the mighty Mississippi River meets its first city, is a regional center for shop-ping, arts, entertainment, education, health services, worship, and government services . Located in the north-central region of Minnesota, Bemidji is easily accessible from major urban centers (Duluth, MN, Grand Forks, ND, & Fargo, ND) within a 2 .5hr driving time . With a city population of 14,301, it is the largest commercial center between Grand Forks, North Dakota and Duluth, Minnesota .
The Bemidji Area includes parts or all of Beltrami County, Hubbard County, Cass County, and more putting the Bemidji Area population at 131,553 with-in a 60-mile radius . In addition, Bemidji is home to Bemidji State University, Northwest Technical College, Oak Hills Christian College, with over 4,000 additional students living in town during the school year .
Known as the birth-place/home of logging legend “Paul Bunyan”, Bemidji is noted as the “curling capital” of the United States and home to a world-class fishing tourism industry with over 400 lakes in a 25-mile radius, making it a year-round destination for fishing .

The automated teller machine is located on the Main Concourse by sections K-J .
CAMERAS and RECORDING DEVICESInformation regarding the camera policy is determined by show personnel and will vary from event to event . However, for most events, small digital cameras are permissible . Cameras with a professional lens will not be permitted (any type of detachable lens is considered professional .)
FIRST AID STATIONThe first aid station is located on the Main Concourse by section R . Trained medical personnel are on staff for every event at the Sanford Center .
OUTSIDE FOOD and BEVERAGES
Absolutely no outside food and beverages are to be allowed inside the Sanford Center .
FAN CONDUCTThe Sanford Center is committed to exceeding the expectations of every guest by delivering the best sports and entertainment experience with quality guest service and exceptional value at a world-class venue .
Creating a safe, comfortable and enjoyable experience for all guests, the Sanford Center is committed to providing an environment free from the following:
· Abusive or foul language and obscene gestures directed toward other guests, arena em-ployees, players, coaches and officials .
· Clothing containing offensive language or indecent graphics .
· Banners or signs that obstruct the view of guests, obscure advertising or impede the op-eration of the Sanford Center, contain objectionable subject matter or are commercial in nature . The Sanford Center reserves the right to remove any banner at any time .
· Smoking is not allowed at the Sanford Center
· Thrown objects, either within the seating section or onto the event performance area .
· Prohibited entry items such as containers, food & beverage, airhorns, weapons, laser pointers, balloons, large bags and backpacks .
· Guests entering or attempting to enter restricted areas without proper authorization or credentials .

· Guests who are disruptive to the event presentation, performance or game .
· Guests encountering difficulties and concerns are urged to contact the Sanford Center Guest Service Staff immediately .
· Guests not abiding by the Guest Code of Conduct are subject to ejection from the Sanford Center and, in some cases, subject to criminal prosecution .
DISABLED GUESTSThe Sanford Center is ADA compliant for accessibility including restrooms, parking, drop off lanes, and service counters . Accessible seating is located throughout the arena . Accessible seating may be pur-chased by calling the Box Office directly at 218-441-4032 .
LOST and FOUNDAll items that may have been left behind during an event are recorded and kept in the Sanford Center Administration Office . Items can be claimed during regular office hours, Monday through Friday, 9:00 am-5:00pm . 218-441-4000
RE-ENTRY POLICYThe Sanford Center has a NO Re-Entry Policy . Once you leave the facility during an event, you may not return under any circumstances . Exceptions are only made in case of emergencies .
SMOKING POLICYThe Sanford Center is a SMOKE-FREE Facility .
INTERNET ACCESSThe Sanford Center, through Paul Bunyan Communications offers GigaZone internet access to our pa-trons . This is one of the largest Gigabit networks in the United States . Capable of download and upload speeds of up to 1000 Mbps .

BOOKING PROCEDURES
All prospective tenants must contact Jeff Kossow at jkossow@venuworks .com, 218-441-4001 or Nicole Kangas at nkangas@venuworks .com, 218-441-4003 to determine the availability of dates . The Sanford Center will tentatively reserve requested dates after acceptance by the Sanford Center . A date is not con-sidered firm until a contract is signed and received .
The Sanford Center may deny the use of any or all of the facility to any individual, group, organization or event that after professional review determines one of the aforementioned would result in an unfair degree of competition or is not in the best interest of the City of Bemidji or the Sanford Events Center .
If another tenant should request a date(s) tentatively reserved or a portion thereof, the tenant will be required to execute a contractual agreement with 24 hours of notification or within a time as specified by the Management of the Sanford Center . If the completed contract is not received, the Management will release the dates with notice .
