ATHENA Awards ProgramIn 1981, a vision for celebrating, articulating and influencing leadership was formulated in Lansing, Michigan. The concept focused on establishing an award to recognize outstanding leaders who achieved professional excellence, who gave back to their community and who created leadership opportunities for women. Local communities across the United States and beyond embraced the ATHENA Award, named in recognition of the Greek goddess for wisdom and courage. Today, the ATHENA Foundation is an established international organization that has recognized thousands of men and women for helping women reach their full leadership potential. This award is presented during the Chamber's Annual Meeting.

Monthly MeetingsThe Chamber always has something going on, and no meeting is more informative than the Chamber's monthly luncheon meeting. Taking turns at venues across our footprint, the GSVCC Monthly Meeting offers a chance to network over the lunch hour, hear up-to-the-minute updates from Chamber members, hear and focuses on a "Made in the Valley" theme.
Business After HoursNetworking is at the heart of the Chamber, and Business After Hours events are the best method for doing that in a relaxed atmosphere. Held after work and affording a sponsor the opportunity to showcase their business to Chamber membership, the Business After Hours allows the Chamber the chance to go to work for you, offering our registration and advertising capabilities to your business. Show off your business in the most affordable way!
Specialty Seminar Options & Board Room RentalBusiness leaders, by definition, have something to offer the community. Usually, that "something" takes the form of valuable personal experience and problem-solving capabilities. As a Chamber, we rely on our business leader-members to give back to our membership, sharing their expertise when applicable. Often, opportunities to share business practices afford business leaders the chance network, gain new clients and grow trust in the community. Consider partnering with the Chamber to offer a seminar and get the word out to the community.

GSV Young ProfessionalsA key subsidiary and partner of the GSVCC is the Greater Susquehanna Valley Young Professionals. Furthering the mission of the Chamber by connecting future leaders and new community members with networking, professional development, and volunteer opportunities, the Young Professionals work across a variety of industries but share a common vision to make the Greater Susquehanna Valley a better place to live, work, and play. Partnering with the Young Professionals is a key way for Chamber members to invest in the future of the Valley, as well as reach a target client/customer demographic of 22-40 year olds.
Farm to Fork Events The GSVCC loves and appreciates the hard-working farming tradition of the Valley. To raise awareness about local produce and to share with the community the idea that "everyone should know where their food comes from", the GSVCC is proud to offer 5 farm to table events during the course of the year.

6. The host sets the capacity for the facility, handles catering (if any) and invites their own staff. Hosts often use promotional items and giveaways as door prizes as an incentive to attend.
