Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is an arrangement between a farmer and the customer. You buy a membership to a local farm in advance of the season, and the farmer uses the upfront funds for seeds and everything needed to grow the food. In return, the farmer delivers your weekly “share” of the farm harvest, typically with a newsletter and recipes. It’s the most direct way to support local farmers and is a delicious way to taste the season!

Blue Heron Farm is located in Eastern Skagit County, near the town of Rockport. We grow 7 acres of mixed vegetables with a wide assortment of greens, and a focus on peas, beans, members of brassica family, tomatoes, peppers and sweet corn. We have several apple and plum trees, a few rows of raspberries and one acre of blueberries. We have started to grow figs and shitake mushrooms and hope to include them as well. We have been farming since 1979, and certified organic since 1980. I have several drops for our CSA, from Marblemount to Mt Vernon. We also offer U-pick for the berries.

Cedarville Farm started the first CSA in Whatcom County in 1992, and we are still growing strong, with over 175 families served in 2015. We cultivate 35+ types of vegetables, culinary herbs, eggs, broiler chickens, and turkeys. Several CSA share options are available. Mushrooms, specialty vegetables, and fruit from other local organic farms add variety to your CSA box. Our “Your Choice” shares allows members to select “market style” the products they receive. Pick-up sites in Bellingham, Ferndale, and at the farm. Using sustainable practices, farmer Helen holds the mission of building community on locally grown, nutritious food. Picked on the day of delivery, boxes are packed with fresh seasonal vegetables and fruit, and delivered to your neighborhood each Wednesday. Recipes and farm information often accompany each delivery. 19 week’s of Certified Organic produce, with market style pickup at our farm in south Mt. Vernon, WA. Every Tuesday afternoon join your farmers and fellow members to choose your veggies and share recipes and tips. Our “take one, leave one” bin allows for flexibility and extra choice. Expect salad greens, carrots, peppers, tomatoes, peas, raspberries and more. As a special bonus for our members, a you-pick flower patch will be open most pickup days. As a member of our Flower Bouquet CSA, you will receive a weekly arrangement cut and wrapped up to go (20+ stems in a variety of textures and hues). We’ll deliver your flowers to a convenient drop-off in downtown Bellingham every Thursday from June 2 - September 22 (17 weeks) for you to pick up, or you can arrange to pick up at the farm on Fridays. Half-shares receive a bouquet every other week for the season, for 8 total bouquets. And we are happy to set up a workplace drop off with 3 or more participants.

Drifters Fish Enjoy wild Alaskan Sockeye straight from the fisherman! We are a husband and wife wild salmon company who fish together every summer on the Copper River and spend winters on Guemes Island. A subscription to our Community Supported Fishery reserves a share of our catch and brings you a 10 lb box of portioned, frozen Copper River Sockeye salmon. Delicious recipes come with your CSF share. Your salmon will be available for pickup in Anacortes, Bellingham + Seattle in October when we return from fishing.
