This interactive workshop will help administrators and provide essential online and face-to-face resources to build a profes-sional development plan that helps teachers integrate core academic concepts into CTE curricula. GENERAL SESSIONSThursday Opening Keynote Speaker

Jaime Casap, Chief Education Evangelist, Google Jaime Casap evangelizes the power of technology and the web as enabling and sup-porting tools in pursuit of promoting inquiry driven, project-based learning models. Col-laborating with school systems, educational

organizations, and leaders, he is focused on building innovation and iteration into our education policies and practices. In addition to his role at Google, Casap serves on a number of boards for organizations focused on education, innovation, and equity. He is also an adjunct professor at Arizona State University, where he teaches classes on policy, innovation, and leadership.

Thursday Luncheon Keynote Speaker Mike Hovan, Chief Operating Officer, Lauren International Mike Hovan, recognized for his exceptional leadership skills, will discuss his commitment to re-emerging manufacturing and community work. He joined Lauren Manufacturing in 1993 as Mixing Plant Manager and over the follow-ing two decades, Hovan served as President

of Lauren Manufacturing, President of Edgetech, and Vice President of Lauren International. Following the sale of Edgetech to Quanex, Hovan became Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Quanex, and in 2014, he was promoted to President/General Manager of Mikron Industries, Inc. - Quanex’s largest business division. In 2016, Hovan returned to the Lauren International family as its COO.

Friday Closing Luncheon Keynote SpeakerKimo Kippen, Chief Learning Officer and Global Ambassador, Hilton Worldwide Kimo Kippen knows the hallmarks of innova-tive CTE programs and will share his vision for career ready education and describe the work that Hilton Worldwide is doing to transform the

learning experience in its workforce. Kippen serves as chairman of the board of directors for the Asian & Pacific Islander American Scholar-ship Fund of which Hilton Worldwide is a founding member. Prior to joining Hilton, Kippen worked for Marriott International for 21 years where he was responsible for the Center of Excellence for Learning. Kippen holds an M.S. in career and human resource development from Rochester Institute of Technology, a B.S. from the University of Hawaii, and is a graduate of the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland’s Post Graduate Program.
