A message from our Leadership

Wexner Heritage Village 1151 College Avenue, Columbus, OH 43209 | 614.231.4900 | [email protected] | whv.org

72 million. That’s the projected number of adults—65 and older—who will live in the U.S. by 2030. That’s a staggering 1 in 5 people. Here at Wexner Heritage Village, we’re more committed than ever to providing superior healthcare and housing to seniors. That’s why in 2017 we’re laying out a comprehensive strategic plan that will position us well for this dramatic population growth.

It’s an exciting moment in our 66-year history. It’s a time of transformative change, as we add services and choices outside the nursing home paradigm. In these pages, you’ll see our commitment to creating a financially sustainable organization that will be a dynamic community today, and in years to come.

Sincerely,

David Rosen Gary Rosenstein Mark YalePresident & CEO WHV Board Chair Incoming WHV Board Chair

Where more really is better. Seniors today have choices. At Wexner Heritage Village, we’re proud to give you the kinds of healthcare and housing choices so many seniors like you (or your loved one) demand today. Imagine.

At Wexner Heritage Village, we know the decisions and investments we make today can help paint a dynamic future for seniors in our community. It’s a future that will change the way we all think about living while we age. One that will include you and the ones you love most.

What might it look like? Picture senior living options where your homeownership and healthcare worries are fully managed, so you can focus on what’s most important.Imagine a place where you can live independently, while taking advantage of community life, fine dining, the outdoors, continuing education and the arts. Think of one senior care organization with multiple choices for residential living—from upscale to more affordable, independent to 24-hour assistance, and more. Envision spiritual programming and services accessible from any nursing facility in the city, not just on WHV’s current campus.Visualize multiple generations living, learning and socializing together. If you are currently caring for a loved one, imagine the challenges of caregiving being lifted from your shoulders, so your energy can go back into your relationship.

Leading the market with more services than ever. The tidal shift in the senior market is no longer looming. It’s here to stay. Today, seniors and their families expect more—a level of healthcare and hospitality previously unimaginable in our industry. Gone are the days of the one-size-fits-all nursing home, as those 70+ require healthcare and housing options to fit them—not the other way around.

We’re ready. At WHV, we stand prepared to meet the needs of all seniors: private payers and the government-subsidized. Those looking to live independently, with home-based support or care that’s 24/7, 365 days-per-year. With so many options, we lead the regional competition with 10 properties and a world of service choices for today and tomorrow.

Our work today keeps us poised to evolve by:

1.

2.

3.

In Judaism, we are taught the prayer, the Shema: to serve God with all our heart, with all our mind, with all our soul. “Let these matters that I command you today be upon your heart. Teach them to your children and speak of them while you sit in your home, while you walk on the way, when you retire and when you arise.” We keep the words of Shema in our minds as we serve with an open heart at Wexner Heritage Village.

A WORD FROM RABBI DEBBIE LEFTON:
