Fort Worth Ag TourConducted by the Southwest NAMA Chapter

Does Fort Worth Ever Cross Your Mind?

Well, it should on April 26! You won’t want to miss out on this one-of-a-kind tour to Dallas’ neighbor to the west: Fort Worth, Texas. Known as the “City of Cowboys and Culture,” Fort Worth embraces its authentic western heritage while also being home to first-class art museums, a vibrant music scene, friendly folks and excellent steak houses.

Simply known as “Cowtown,” Fort Worth will take you back in time as you arrive in the famous Fort Worth Stockyards to enjoy a chuckwagon breakfast complete with cowboy coffee and hot biscuits. We’ll gather in the Livestock Exchange Building in the studios of Superior Livestock Auction and hear about the economic impact that agriculture has in the city.

Presenters from the National Cutting Horse Association and special rangers from the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association, who serve as law enforcement officers recovering millions of dollars in livestock and assets thefts, will share their stories with you. RIDE TV and Superior Livestock reps will also discuss the value and importance of agriculture across their many media platforms. You’ll also hear from the owner of one of the largest ranches in Texas who will explain how they market their cattle locally and internationally.

Then it’s time for a tour of the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame. Go back to the 1800s when you see the world famous Fort Worth Cattle Drive of Longhorns who traverse the brick streets twice daily. Want to buy a new pair of boots? We’re saving time for some souvenir shopping…or that cowboy hat you’ve always longed for. There will still be time

for a swing through Billy Bob’s Texas, “The World’s Largest Honky Tonk,” to grab some barbeque and beer before heading back to Dallas.

Join us to “Discover Fort Worth—The Wall Street of Texas with Cowboys and Culture.”

Cost for the tour is $70 and includes transportation, breakfast and lunch, plus more surprises.

OPENING GENERAL SESSION

Doing the Little Things and Executing Vision HERM EDWARDS

Whether it’s his faith, family, or football team, Herm Edwards exudes passion in all areas of his life. A successful NFL head coach turned in-studio analyst for ESPN, Herm has a diverse background in professional leadership, and is one of the most recognized voices in sports today.

He’ll share his life experiences and emphasize how putting the focus on teamwork, integrity

and effective communication leads to an unstoppable team. Whether you’re in an executive role managing key players—or new to the game and wondering how you can make an impact—Herm's inspiring conversation will leave you energized and ready to step up to any challenge with confidence.

One of five head coaches in NFL history to take two different teams to the playoffs in their debut seasons with them, Herm exemplifies the hard work and commitment it takes to create a winning environment. In his most recent coaching job, with the Kansas City Chiefs, he led

the team to a 9-7 record and tied for the most victories for a first-year coach with the franchise. He also led the New York Jets to five postseason contests. In this exhilarating keynote presentation, he’ll draw from his winning record to show you how the “little things” lead to big gains.

Heavily involved in philanthropic endeavors, he has been named Big Brother of the Year by the Catholic Big Brothers for Boys and Girls in New York, and named to the Positive Coaching Alliance’s National Advisory Committee.

PRE-CONFERENCE WORKSHOP

Embracing ChangeBART LOESER

Change is a fact of life. However, most people don’t like it and some don’t adjust to or accept it readily. To be successful in today’s ever-changing world, you must understand what change is, how people tend to respond to it and how you can embrace it as an opportunity for growth and progress. Bart Loeser is an award-winning educator and business leader, with extensive experience in a wide range of

fields and industries including investment banking, health/medical care, event planning/management and community-based organizations.

As an expert in professional development, Bart has more than 25 years of experience working with business leaders, employees and volunteer staff with various non-profit and for-profit organizations. He has worked with groups

and corporations across the continental United States, as well as in Australia and New Zealand.

Wednesday, April 26 1:00-3:00 p.m.

If you can learn to view change positively, and respond accordingly, you will see a benefit in your professional and personal life.

2017 AGRI-MARKETING CONFERENCE 5

John O’Leary will show you that one attitude, one action and one person can absolutely change the world.

A curious 9-year-old boy, John created a massive explosion in his garage and was burned on 100 percent of his body. Though he was given less than a 1 percent chance of survival, John miraculously recovered. Now he shares his remarkable story with audiences across the country.

Surprisingly, John’s “survivor story” focuses on celebrating the heroes who intimately served him and his family—a dedicated Hall of Fame sports announcer,

a visionary burn nurse and countless others.

With emotional storytelling and unexpected humor, John is consistently referenced as “the best speaker we’ve ever had”—earning five star reviews and igniting audiences at 100+ events each year. His book, On Fire: The 7 Choices to Ignite a Radically Inspired Life was a #1 national bestseller in 2016.

Hear life lessons that extend far beyond the workplace. Reignite your environment and work joyously toward your goals. John will reawaken you to the gift of today and the possibility of tomorrow.

this morning, does not mean that we are truly living.

What would our day, impact and output look like if we lived a radically inspired life, every single day?

Living radically inspired means you learn from past mistakes, rise above challenges and thrive no matter the circumstances.

John will share the critical truth that “inflection points”—moments in time that change everything that follows—occur daily. John will help you realize it’s your choice how inflection points affect you. Your life has much less to do with what happens to you, and much more to do with how you react to it. Are you ready to live on fire?

We live in a world where “accidental living”—mindlessly moving through routines, wasting countless hours on social media, or complaining about what’s wrong in our jobs, families and society—has become the norm. But John O’Leary reminds us that just because we got out of bed

Along with her partners, she has built upon Beck Ag’s mission to help organizations throughout the agriculture industry think about, create and execute stronger go-to-market strategies.

Data isn’t just for production professionals in agriculture. Data drives decisions, and as an industry we are reaching a tipping point where we could soon know the field better than we know the farmer, and the animal and its behaviors and preferences better than we know the producer. Today’s marketers and sales teams need data in order to earn relationships with customers, but not the data we’ve used in the past. Join Scott Downey, Associate Director with Purdue’s Center for Food and Agribusiness, and Stephanie Liska, CEO of Beck Ag, as they lead an interactive hour that will help you think differently about the impact data has on designing, delivering and measuring a go-to-market strategy.
